Causes: Health, Mental Health, Mental Health Associations
Mission: Since its founding in 2001, IMHR has worked to support broad-based, innovative, early-stage mental health research. IMHR was the very first statewide, non-profit organization dedicated to mental health research in the United States. The IMHR mission is to support innovative, comprehensive, early stage research that addresses the most complex and problematic mental health issues facing society today. As part of this mission, IMHR encourages the translation of research efforts into direct services and educational programs that serve critical mental health needs in the state and beyond.
Results: - Supported 54 Arizona projects, 41 scientists, and 10 institutions: Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Translational Genomics Research Institute, Barrow Neurological Institute, Mayo Clinic, Banner Health, & Sun Health Research Institute - Raised $2 million in donor dollars that go directly into supporting mental health research - Garnered a $10.64 : $1 return on our initial grant money, culminating in $20 million towards mental health research in the state of Arizona

Programs: IMHR also sponsors programs focused on the mental health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and opportunities for academics, researchers, practitioners and decisions makers to collaborate.
