The Inspire USA Foundation created ReachOut.Com as a means to let people find a hub full of inspiration and other ways to get through tough times. I believe in this group so much that I first began volunteering and then ultimately became a Council Member.
ReachOut.com is really great at getting relevant and accurate information on ways to help others get through tough times, making it easy for me (and others) to get to that helpful online information, and is constantly updating fact sheets so that their materials are always relevant to meet my needs.
Many teens have experienced tragedy, felt alienation and anxiety, feared the reactions of their peers, and experienced the overwhelming weight of hopelessness at an extraordinarily young age. The challenge of coping with our problems can be extremely lonely and often involves a difficult journey; indeed, many of us are unsure how to begin to confront or overcome our problems - but ReachOut.com provides a mechanism though which young people share their thoughts, feelings and experiences with others and become part of a network of support and understanding.
This is the chance for young adults to connect with one another, and it is this link that is so crucial to ensuring the well-being and mental health of today's teens. The ultimate goal of this initiative is for teens and young adults to lead happier lives, and it is their user-generated content and ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of today's youth that allows the Inspire USA Foundation and ReachOut.com to accomplish this formidable task.
As a Reach Out youth council member, I am continuously watching first hand how this organization and the website affect young people and better so many lives. Reading the stories that teens submit about how ReachOut.com has helped them get through an extremely difficult time in their lives and maybe even saved them, never gets less inspiring. Just last weekend, while promoting Reach Out at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, so so many people, after hearing what the site is all about, responded with "Wow. I wish there had been something like that when I was going through my tough time" or "I know someone who could definitely benefit from this site." It really feels wonderful to work with such an incredible foundation, and for such a worthy cause, and to know that we are actually helping people!
I am CEO of In-Reach, and have worked for the past 10 years serving youth at risk via our online portal, TheLockers.net. Jack, Anastasia, Alex, and the entire team at Inspire USA Foundation are doing unparalleled and exceptional work on behalf of the young people of the United States. us.reachout.com offers a unique and essential place for young people facing difficult situations to find stories from others who have gone through, AND OVERCOME, hardships similar to what they are facing.
Inspire USA Foundation saves lives, and provides hope and light to millions of kids through the mediums that young people turn to when they might not be talking to anyone else - the Internet and online social networks.
I am proud to work with and support the work of Inspire USA, and encourage others to invest themselves in such a noble and impactful organization.

The Inspire USA Foundation touches hundreds of thousands of lives each year. Included in that number are some of the teens I work with on a daily basis. The ReachOut.com website offers great information, resources, and suport from teens just like them. The peer support model is proven time and time to be highly effective, and is one of the many resons that teens benefit from the great work of the Inspire USA foundation. Keep up the great work--you are truly saving lives and improving the overall positive mental health of teens throughout the United States!
I live in a community, Palo Alto, CA, with a High School system that is one of the top 100 in the nation. A great city, a great place to grow up in. In the last two years we've had a shocking uptick in the suicide rate of our youth. I learned about Inspire USA at a business function where I met one of the founders of this project. After viewing the website, listening to the compelling videos and comments from its audience, it became very apparent to me that this was a huge resource that could help troubled teens and young adults.

I've been involved with Inspire since its founding in 1996 in Australia. With a life spent in non-profits, including as global CEO of Greenpeace I have some good context to say that Inspire genuinely Inspires me with its commitment to real outcomes and its capacity to deliver consistently and authentically.

If you are looking for a great nonprofit to share your talents, time, or money this is it. I am a 17 male teenager who was directly affected by the great doings of Inspire USA. One of their major programs is ReachOut.com. The website (don't be afraid to check it out) is a multimedia rich, hip, and useful website for teens or young adults to use as an aid when they are struggling with things in their life. I know for a fact the site works as proven by my existence still on this wonderful planet. When I was 16, I was really starting to struggle with anxiety problems that just didn't seem to be getting better. I was having increased depression and thoughts of suicide. One day when I was really done emotionally I was googling way to end it all. It was then I stumbled across ReachOut.com. After several hours of reading stories, watching videos, and doing some serious self reflection I decided to do the most difficult thing I had ever done: tell someone. After I told my parents, I was able to see my doctor, start seeing a counselor, and in general turn my life around. Without Inspire USA foundation, I am almost positive I wouldn't be here to write this review. If there is one thing I can have any readers take out of this is that nonprofits don't run on their own. With my own situation, I am not able to contribute financially so I volunteer my time. But if you are able to contribute, I strongly suggest you do. No amount is too small so don't feel like you can't. Who knows, you might even save a life in the process!
The people at Inspire USA Foundation are passionate about the well being of young people. Everyone who works or volunteers for the organization is intelligent, knowledgable in his or her field, hardworking, committed and loving.
By chance, I discovered the organization's website and felt inspired to volunteer. I applied for their social media and analytics internship and I have never felt happier to be part to their team.
As a 10 year veteran of the nonprofit field, Inspire USA Foundation is much more innovative, organized and on top of trends than most nonprofits.
The organization is energetically seeking innovative ways to reach young people and support them. They are continually pursuing diverse marketing and funding streams. The group is educated about what actually succeeds and how to achieve results. Lastly, they are open to new ideas, supportive of feedback, and inclusive in their vision and leadership.
I have complete faith that this organization will exceed their internal goals and become a huge resource for young adults.
