Mission: Information technology infrastructure security
Programs: A)data collection and analysis-compile information from members, non-members and government agencies on electronic incidents, threats, attacks, vulnerabilities, solutions and countermeasures. Supplement such information with other information as may be proper for accuracy and completeness. Synthesize industry's response to such threats. Produce global internet threat trends and analysis. B) data sharing and dissemination-provide a dedicated network alerting members and others to new and emerging threats, risks and other vulnerabilities. Provide a dedicated forum for members and others to share information about best security practices, security breaches and their remediation, and other information relevant to information technology security. C) meetings-hold one annual meeting of members, as well as special meetings as needed, as may be appropriate to further the purposes of the organization. D)publications and seminars-to educate its members and the public, the it-isac may publish, from time to time, written materials concerning information technology security and hold seminars or conferences on the subject of information technology security.
