Causes: Economic Development, Financial Counseling, Human Services, Urban & Community Economic Development
Mission: The mission of increasing h. O. P. E financial training center is to create financial freedom for families in south carolina by eradicating poverty and building assets through financial education, training and community developement.
Programs: Financial education:in 2017 we conducted 23 financial education training classes for 163 individuals teaching budgeting, rebuilding of credit and general money management skills.
foreclosure prevention services:in partnership with sc housing authority (sc help) we aided helping 39 families save their homes from foreclosure. Total community impact was $869,644.
volunteer income tax assistance (vita):we completed a total of 246 state and federal tax returns for free with a community impact of $326,523.
community development: successfully completed the renovation of a home donated to us by wells fargo bank. The home was then offered as affordable housing and sold to a retired veteran.
