The Executive Director, Kasia is so dedicated to helping her community. The programs she has created and the influence she has given is without measure! In Her Shoes Foundation is a wonderful organization.
I am very glad I joined In her Shoes Foundation this year!!! It's a great feeling to offer encouragement and to be encouraged, especially in this difficult time. The volunteers and participants I met here have inspired me to stretch myself, my skills, my community, as I make time to walk In Her Shoes. :)
Kasia and Barbara run IHSF amazingly. They are empathetic and highly effective. I have completed meaningful work with IHSF by creating online curriculum and helping organize events. It’s been a wonderful time doing meaningful work for a worthy cause.
Ready Set Girls Academy is our mission in action. We are dedicated to providing tools and the means to live a healthy and positive life for all women. In Her Shoes Foundation is dedicated to the idea that preventative programs are crucial to working towards the larger goal of preempting avoidable, yet devastating, moments of crisis. Working with young women in a vulnerable time of life is the perfect opportunity to provide life long coping strategies and tools that can last beyond just the school year. Our curriculum is designed to ensure that the young women we work with are in a safe environment that allows them to explore themselves, grow into confident young women, and provide them with information and connections they can use in times of crisis. Our supportive facilitators give the young women we work with the opportunities to be honest about their own lives and ways they can be empowered to be healthy in all aspects of their lives. We have a great leadership and are always seeking for community leaders to partner with to make this world a better place. Thank you
I had one of the most rewarding experiences volunteering with this foundation because I had the opportunity to work closely with the leadership team and make an immediate impact on the foundation and on the community that it serves.
My name is Sanjana Rajesh, and I'm the Chair of the High School Committee with In Her Shoes Foundation. I've worked with IHSF for nearly a year, and I'm so proud to be part of this organization. Everyone that volunteers here are passionate and committed to achieving gender equality and empowering girls, and they've given me- a high school student- the opportunity to make the world a better place. The RSGA program is unique because it inspired girls to build themselves up and gain self-esteem and then helps them make their own communities better. I'm so proud to work with IHSF, and I can't wait to see what we do next.
As a volunteer with the In Her Shoes Foundation, I am surrounded by great minds who are all dedicated to the same mission: to empower young girls and women. The foundation continues to blow my mind away by organizing great events, ideas, and picking up the hard work to virtualize the programs we offer. The leaders of the foundation are consistently trying to find ways to spread their mission and directly help girls.
As a member of the High School committee, I have firsthand witnessed the foundation's passion to empower and inspire young women and girls. IHSF creates an open environment and spreads such a positive message to all. This organization is constantly looking for ways to give back to girls and reach those who may not have many opportunities. In addition, they are inclusive and teach many valuable skills through the Ready Set Girls! Program and many events.
I had the privilege to volunteer with the Ready Set Girls program during my time with IHSF. I love the emphasis on community involvement and how excited the girls were to give back to their community. The dedication of the volunteers and support from the IHSF organization provided a truly wonderful experience for young girls to find their voice, learn leadership skills, and empower one another to be the best version of themselves.
During my time (2017-2018) at IHSF, I was the Program Coordinator, and I helped the organization with their outreach of the Ready Set Girls Program into different schools, and community centers. This program helped empower young girls with extra life skills that they were not necessarily able to see at school or at home.
Although I was one of the only males volunteering at the time, I think IHSF did a great job of making sure I was able to help in a meaningful way. This organization was a great way to meet other passionate people who want to make a difference in young girl's lives in the city of Chicago.
I volunteer as Legal Counsel for IHSF. I have been involved with the organization for over a year now. The Foundation makes a real impact on the girls they work with. The girls leave the Ready Set Girls Program feeling empowered and with high self-esteem. This helps to motivate them to continue to achieve. Some of the girls have gone on to college and contribute their success and drive to the skills they learned through IHSF's Programing. IHSF's mission makes a lasting difference.
I supported them as Chief Marketing Officer and they have wonderful programs to support young women to become confident and aspiring adults. It’s a great place for motivated people to meet similar people and use their spare time in a meaningful way.
Kasia the Executive Director and Founder of IHSF is the hardest working, most selfless and kindest people I have ever had the privelege of working with. Her heart is 100% in everything that she does. The programs that she has created like RSGA (Ready Set Girls Academy) has helped and will continue to help countless girls get prepared for what life will throw at them. These are necessary skills that these girls desperately need to learn and will help create a solid foundation enabling them to have a better future. There are no words that can describe how necessary this and other programs are. I am happy to volunteer here and would highly recommend that people join in. At this specific time in history we need to build strength, spread love, intelligence and encouragement and that is exactly what IHSF does.
Happy to be part of the In Her Shoes Foundation team! Have learned so much this past summer, and excited to continue my involvement! I got to work really closely with the executive director and other like-minded volunteers. I'm so inspired by everyone's dedication to the mission and being able mentor young girls and build their confidence.
