Mission: To improve the integrity of the illinois river through public education and community outreach, water quality monitoring, and the implementation of conservation and restoration practices throughout the illinois river watershed.
Programs: At the start of 2016, over 18,000 volunteers have provided volunteer hours to conservation and education. Over 3,000 seedlings have been planted along streams in the arkansas and 1,100 seedlings established at flint creek power plant tree farm for future use. Over 1,750 pounds of trash has been removed from 22. 5 miles of creeks and rivers in arkansas and oklahoma. The education programs included school programs with over 40 students and more than 5,000 students; a partnership with 36 corporate and civic organizations and 5 schools participating in a growing conservative projects with native plants and grasses.
