Mission: Statewide promotion of economic development initiatives: (a) determine training needs of membership, develop curriculum and provide appropriate training, (b) assist in developing and refining a comprehensive marketing strategy for the state of idaho, and (c) create a cohesive, statewide economic development structure that provides support and opportunity for both rural and urban communities in idaho. The organization's stated mission is: the idaho economic development association (ieda) is a trade association of economic development professionals and affiliated entities whose purpose is to enhance and elevate the practice of economic development in idaho, to influence public policy related to economic development, and to promote sustainable business growth for idaho's economic vitality and increased standard of living.
