I teach public high school and shared my frustration with a colleague, Madhavi, that I was trying to help a student and his family with their food needs. The hospital had contacted our school alerting us to some health issues for the student that required a special diet. Without any hesitation, Madhavi asked me what the exact grocery needs were for this family. I connected her to our social worker who was in communication with hospital staff. Within two days (just two days!) a plan was created to help this family get back on their feet with nourishing food and groceries. This is the first I had heard of I Mission and I am so grateful for this serendipitous meeting. I Mission has been a godsend for the family. With limited school resources, we were unsure how we could help meet special dietary restrictions utilizing just donated foods from our food pantry. I Mission is now helping meet this family's necessary food needs. Thank you, I Mission!

I Mission is an amazing non-profit doing so much good in the Beaverton community! They have steadfastly supported our recently arrived immigrant and refugee students/families participating in at Beaverton School District's Newcomer Program with food donations. They are easy to coordinate with and very responsive to our lowest income students and their families who are experiencing food insecurity.
Thank you especially to Likhila Vavialapalli, who is a senior at Westview High and the President of I Mission (as well as Madhavi). This organization is effective and has worked tirelessly to serve the needs of our community. Thumbs up!!!! :)

I Mission is a wonderful and versatile non-profit organisation. They raise funds to improve the welfare where needed the most locally and around the world. It is a privilege to be able to volunteer for I Mission. Their communication to the volunteers is amazing. Thanks to the funds they raise, I am able to volunteer and buy groceries and other basic vital necessities for families in great need and deliver it to their doorstep. Seeing the smiles on their faces, is the most rewarding of all. I feel very honored that I'm able to volunteer for I Mission.

Very proud of this organization and very grateful for all the initiatives they have undertaken over the past several years and especially during the pandemic as well when it was not easy to do all the volunteering work. Their efforts are truly selfless and I have nothing but admiration for the teenager who started it all !!; and for the tireless support, incredible work and consistent encouragement of the parents. Keep it up!!!

Imission plays a huge role in helping needy people in and around Portland area. It also extended its wings and reached many old age homes and helped many for their surgical needs. The volunteers and people who work for Imission come with a heart to help people in need and do their best and exceed expectation in how far they go above and beyond in helping people in need financially and daily essentials to many .

The I-mission was started by a teenager a few years ago and has grown tremendously, reaching out the people in rural areas, helping the needy. Initially, it was started with the aim of helping children who need financial support for surgical expenses to restore eye-sight, provide Braille devices to blind schools for their education, eye examination, etc. I-Mission volunteers have expanded their operations to provide groceries, blankets to poor people, orphanages, both in India as well as USA. All the fund donated goes towards achieving the goal and no overhead. Thank you all volunteers and donors for helping to fulfill the dream of teenagers.

I have seen I Mission's work in Portland Oregon metro area and other places for years now and can't thank them enough for their lovely charity work for the community. They do put in lot of time, energy and resources to help community with various projects such as helping with food supplies for needy, donating braille machines and setting up operation camps with doctors for visually impaired, support programs for our frontline workers eg health care, fire fighter, and others, also to help support the foster care kids, etc. They almost doubled their charity and volunteer work during the Covid-19 pandemic to help community. Big Kuddos to I Mission team and volunteers. THANK YOU!!

I mission team along with it's founders have been doing an amazing job for the community in Oregon and overseas too.

I have seen so many wonderful projects done by them that i have lost a count of it.

They have been arranging for free eye surgeries for ppl who do not have means to good healthcare in places like India.

In the last couple of years with CoVid I-mission did a lot of charity and volunteering for helping ppl in Portland metro area as well as in India.

I-mission encouraged and guided my child to conduct a shoe drive for the next people and it was an eye opening experience for my child.

I Mission has been very effective in our community. They have reached out in our residential communities through family, friends and community members to gain critically needed items through those of greater means for those in great need of basic items to subsist in today’s tough times. I Mission is not a simple funding effort. I Mission leaders, supporters and donors are drawn to service through a sense of greater responsibility to community and have been effective in gathering specific donations in most need at the most critical time of need and credibly engaging those in need by delivering needed item to them directly where they live. This is a credible act of selfless love that says, “we care and want to see, understand and help”. Please support I Mission. They are effective, credible, dedicated and intelligent in their building a stronger, healthier community.

In the immediate wake of the pandemic, the Westview High School community was suffering. The school district did not have a plan for distributing and there was a dire need for more resources like PPE, toiletries, and clothing. Parents were losing their jobs and kids had lost an important support structure. Myself and a group of teachers decided to put out a call to action requesting food and resource donations. We honestly didn’t really know what we were doing, we just knew that we needed to help. Little did we know how massive this campaign would turn out to be.

Our first round of deliveries had over thirty families requesting aid. Without prompting, members of the I Mission showed up with overwhelming support. Carloads of resources began showing up -- families who didn’t even have students at Westview were dropping off box loads of food, clothes, and sanitary supplies. Leading the convoy was Likhila and her mom Madhavi. Once the dust settled after the first round of aid, folks like Madhavi and Likhila became central organizers for the Westview aid project, coordinating with I Project volunteers and making sure we always had deliveries available to go out.

In the end, I Project helped Westview teachers raise over $10,000, providing dozens of deliveries to dozens of families. I can’t thank Likhila and Madhavi enough for stepping up and bringing in massive organizational support. We couldn’t have sustained this project without the I Mission.

The I Mission is an amazing non-profit that brings both basic necessities to local and global communities, while also ensuring health care needs, specifically to support vision, are met. Run by motivated, selfless, and critically aware young adults, this homegrown non-profit is essential to transforming our neighborhoods and communities to truly support and connect with one another. To see the impact of I Mission in our community is a gift, one that deserves to be shared! I would highly recommend I Mission for those looking to get involved with or to support a non-profit.

The Imission is helping the blind people who never knew how world looks like, according to me bringing vision back is rebirth to one's life.... I Know Vavilapalli family from last 5 years & Founder Hitesh is my close buddy. The Vavilapalli family is a Synonym for community service.

When I heard about the I Mission in 2017, I was really surprised about their thoughts on serving the community, the best thing is all 4 of the family travel down to India every year to ensure all activities/treatments are done under there supervision. "Time is the biggest donation ever.

This involves a lot of process of identifying the right patients, screening the needy ones & later taking them to a hospital facility...All care is taken by mission once after identification of people is completed.

When it was started in 2016, I believe they were doing double digit Cataract surgeries, but now they crossed more than 2K surgeries, which is a remarkable growth rate. I hope their services reach all the visually challenged people across the world, wishing all the best!

I-Mission is a place where you can feel good about donating your money. The donations all go to improving the sight of those in need. It is a powerful way to improve lives without creating unintended consequences of dependence. It is one of the most efficient nonprofits I have seen, and it's targeted reach is incredibly effective in fulfilling its mission.

In Vedic tradition "knowledge alone is liberation or salvation" declares an upanishad.

It is said that there are five primary and five secondary avenues that deliver knowledge. Among the primary Eyes rank the first. Problems with the vision impacts not just the individual but the entire family.

I have known Vavilapalli family for well over a decade. I have had the opportunity to get the blessings of their parents as well. The commitment to serving the needy comes to Vavilapalli family from their genes. Poverty in India is still acute though in this millennia the middle class is on the rise. Vavilapalli's parents have been serving the community for several years in India.

In 2016 when the young Hitesh told me that he is promoting the I Mission I requested him to make the announcement in one of our community event. He stood up and with a determined tone spoke about I Mission. The determination, focus and commitment has been seen in action ever since. Each year Hitesh would proudly and personally share the details of the service our contribution added to the less privileged.

Last year, as a senior, he organized the event with volunteers from his school. He set an example for his little sister and we are all witnessing the energy she brings to the mission. Vavilapalli family has been an inspiration to each of us in our little community. I wish their service reaches all the poor and vulnerable visually disabled people of the world.
