Mission: To support sustainable agriculture, land stewardship, and good food through education, innovative partnerships, and programming.
Programs: More than 35 individual educational classes and/or series dates were held at the organization's training kitchen/learning center, ranging from the "victory garden" & "permaculture in a pint" series to classes on preservation techniques, particular produce, seed saving, and cooking and/or baking methods -- all to demonstrate the availability of local produce and meats. Class fees totaled $11,100; kitchen/learning center rentals $2,527; and related merchandise (food and beverage, etc. ) $287. Two major educational presentations were held on topics of importance to local farmers, one with gabe brown and the other with ben hewitt (drawing 80 and 46 participants, respectively). Several exhibitions were held in the exhibit hall - the biggest one being a bike art related to farming and local agriculture. Upon transfer of the activities to farm table foundation, inc at april 16, 2017, a cash grant of $145,000 was made to support continuation of the activities.
