Mission: To inspire each child who enters our doors to find a calling that will change the world. We will cultivate the human spirit by providing self-paced, experiential learning for all students in a student-centered and value-based environment, guided by strong personal relationships with students and families.
Programs: The humanist academy is non-profit private school that offers a world-class education to a diverse community of 16 learners at a tuition rate almost half the cost of the other private schools in the area. Inspired by acton academy in austin, our innovative model emphasizes hands on, experiential learning, in a multi-aged classroom of young heroes who take the responsibility of learning into their own hands. Using the latest in educational technology and integrating montessori materials, the humanist academy provides an individualized and self-paced curriculum that allows students to learn at their own pace, usually above and beyond traditional classrooms. Through inspiring socratic discussions, life-oriented quests (similar to project-based learning), community exhibitions, daily goal-setting and studio maintenance, and real-world apprenticeships, our vision is for every student to find a purpose that will bring fulfillment and meaning to life, while developing human values and integrity along the way.
