I cannot thank this organization enough for the experience and knowledge it has given me. Learning to work with animals that have been less fortunate than most has been so rewarding. Jane has taught me so much about the understanding of abused animals that I will never forget. Knowing now that spaying and neutering is one of the biggest concerns of this organization has really opened my eyes and has made me realize the importance of having animals spay/neutered before they are adopted out is the key to a successful future in reducing the numbers of so many unwanted numbers. What a wonderful experience this has been and still is. I am learning something new everyday.
If I could give 0 stars, I would! Where did all of these animals go??? Nobody seems to know! I cannot believe this woman is not sitting in prison. NOT only were there misappropriation of funds that were supposed to be used for the rescue of animals pulled, but not one....did you read that correctly??? NOT ONE adoption! These animals were pulled and then gone without a trace!!!
DO NOT TRUST THIS “HUMANE SOCIETY” and all the fake 5 star reviews. If I could give negative stars I would. I have unfortunately donated money to this fake “humane society” never to receive any updates on dogs and their whereabouts. This is a disgusting place. If this was legit, where are the continuous social media posts to help get the dogs and cats rescued? Why is there NOTHING on Facebook? Except the same picture used over and over again. Do NOT be fooled by this fake company and these fake reviews.
This "rescue" is not associated with the humane society at all. They have taken over 110 animals from an Indianapolis shelter and accept large amounts of donated money for their care. ALL of these animals are now missing. There is NO RESPONSE from this "rescue" as to their whereabouts. This is not a rescue they are murderers and illegally taking donations for the care of animals that they are not caring for.
To this day, nobody knows what happened to all the animals Humane Society of the Dunes pulled from Indianapolis Animal Care Services. Search their name on Google and see what pops up. Where are the animals, Jane?
Do not trust this “rescue!” Animals under Jane’s care seemingly go missing, never to be seen again. Especially any cats outdoors she get her hands on. Adoptable cats and dogs are never posted anywhere on her website or Facebook. Where are her adopters? Where are her fosters? Nowhere to be found… Attached is a photo she posted to her Humane Society of the Dune account, allegedly rescued today February 3, 2024. Seems Jane cannot keep her lies straight, since what she posted was a screenshot of her camera roll showing a photo of a dog taken in December 2017. Many things are sketchy about this "rescue" and so is the vet she always brings up to verify her rescue, Dr Reed at Westchester. Check out his my case. Beware of this sham of a rescue.
Jane the cat killer is at it again, stealing people’s pets and not giving them the location. She was caught and is denying it.
The Director stole my cat colony of 22 cats. She told me they were better off dead than living as Feral's. I had them all vetted and a caretaker was feeding them but she didn’t care. FIP Babies. You didn’t deserve to die!
Humane Society of the Dunes is an amazing rescue. The love and care for animals is unsurpassed. I have fostered animals for Jane who does nothing shy of putting animals-in-need first. I have enjoyed her support with animal rescue. Kudos to Humane Society of the Dunes, Inc. for all you do!
WOW Is all I can say about someone making a total false statement about someone that obviously knows absolutey nothing about this wonderful organization. "A CAT KILLER" Your a sick person to say something so wrong about such a wonderful person. This woman goes above & beyond every waking moment of every day to help animals. She is the perfect example of we as people should be every day, espically when it comes to animals. Every animal she rescues never & I mean never has to be left in a cage. She has so many wonderful foster family's that help out & all the animals get the very best of care. She has never & would never hurt a animal. You see that's what we do every day. We turn a blind eye to homeless animals that need help & so many others ad to the problem by leaving & dumping their animals they don't wanna care for anymore & people are the sole reason there are homeless animals everywhere espically cats & so many people say leave them alone & let them be. Dumb people say dumb things. Every cat that's homeless suffers in the worst way. Teeth & gum problems & sick & diease from lack of nutrition & people just dont care enough to wanna make a difference & it's sick. We need more people like jane because lots more animals would have the help & love she provides. And yes it's out of her own pocket & she needs help. Her organization needs donations so she can continue to provide the very important love & care that only her organization can provide so please keep this in mind & Don't say bad things about wonderful people that you really no nothing about.
The woman who runs this -Jane is a cat killer- ask any cat rescue. She is a liar and a dishonest person. Shes hiding her “nonfor profit” because more and more people are becoming aware of her horrific acts. Taking pets and ferals and putting them down under the guise of tnr. You will not get away with this.

Dr. Reed at Westchester Animal Clinic can verify the wonderful work this organization does. The comment you made is so far from the truth!
