Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: Improve animal welfare by offering low cost spay/neuter programs, including a monthly cat clinic for residents caring for outside stray or feral cats. Conduct investigations into calls related to possible abuse or neglect of livestock. Maintain a pet food pantry for low income dog and cat owners. Volunteers routinely foster neglected animals until a home can be found, but we do not operate a shelter.
Results: 1,709 cats and dogs have been spayed or neutered (S/N) through our programs in 2020. A grand total of 8,583 outside or stray cats have been S/N since starting our clinics in 2006. Pet food pantry serves anywhere from 100-150 low income pet owners. Humane agents responded to 78 calls concerning potential abuse/neglect of livestock
