In 2014, hdrc's "preview of a birth" dvd was recognized by u. S. Health and human services as evidenced-based curriculum and recommended for u. S. Public school health classes. This recognition is in addition to state board of education approval of hdrc curriculum in arkansas, georgia, and utah. In 2014 hdrc reached 166,657 individuals online and in classrooms with one or more of hdrc's educational resources. This is a 44% increase over last year79,835 resources were viewed at hdrc.
