Mission: Our mission is to increase the number of women and minorities in this industry by providing preparatory curriculum in construction math, technology and practices for successful entry into this profession. In addition to this preparatory training we also provide quality of life topical seminars in financial literacy, nutrition, life and work skills. This is done in a collaborative delivery system.
Programs: The first choice pre-apprenticeship program was created with the purpose of recruiting and training women, minorities, low/moderate income persons and others for careers in the construction and building trades.
the trans program was created with the purpose of addressing the shortage of women, minorities and others in highway construction by creating a labor pool of qualified workers for the wisconsin department of transportation contractors and the road construction industry.
