Causes: Homeless & Housing, Low-Income & Subsidized Rental Housing
Mission: The housing assistance corporation is a private, non-profit organization committed to providing safe and affordable housing for persons of limited income living in henderson county and surrounding areas, because we believe every human being deserves the opportunity to live in a decent home.
Programs: Multi-family development apartments (connor creek and sugarloaf): provided rental housing for 59 households of which 48 were very-low income and 8 were low-income. These households included 101 children. There were 203 children in all living in housing assistance corporation multi-family housing. Provided rental housing assistance for 185 elderly tenants; 20 homeless families received shelter.
