Mission: Hospice of havasu is a not-for-profit, patient-centered team of professionals and volunteers who serve the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the incurably ill, their families and friends in our communities.
Programs: Provided medical care for 605 patients and 42,710 home care and inpatient days. Provided various commuity services, such as bereavement counseling and caregiver seminars and classes. A lending library is available to the community and numerous classes on various medical related issues are offered. Attend various community health fairs and provide grief crisis and specialized counseling to members of the community. Various employees are available at all times for public speaking on hospice and bereavement related issues. In october 2012, the hospice implemented a transitions program. The transitions program is intended to provide no-cost assistance to those in the community facing life-limiting illness, but do not meet medicare hospice standards. This non-medical program, provides support and information to participants and their families.
