Paying traders to bring horses to them only on the one-day-a-month buy-out day meaning those blind, broken, emaciated horses may have to wait a month to get any kind of medical care or proper nutrition. HPHS is funding the suffering by supporting the slaughter/neglect/abuse pipeline.

This shelter is collecting over 2.2 million in donations and they pay themselves up to 1.5 million. They have bragged about buying a property for 120,000.00 and a couple months later they sell the land they personally bought to their own rescue for 800,000.00. They have so many euthanasias they bought and incinerator to dispose of them. They actively campaign to have all equine activities stopped by law including trail riding, horse shows, and more. They have seminars on how to cry just to get donations even if the story isn’t true. They pay their son money from the rescue even though he doesn’t work for it, they bought him a high powered Camaro and when he got in trouble in the car used rescue funds to pay off the people in order to stay quiet.

They kill more than they save , they are adopting blind horses to a rescue , when those blind horses get old or sick the girl that runs it shoots them in the head and leaves them for wildlife to eat . She has watched it on her trail camera . This is so sick it make me wonder does HP check to see where they go ?

I have seen the ugly side of Horse Auctions, the horses that are never even ran through the ring and just bought up by “kill buyers” and loaded on crowded trucks to possibly fall and get trampled, arrive at their destination dead! Some one has to save the unwanted from that, there is NO PROFIT in buying a horse just to peacefully give it the “last act of Kindness” Quick turn around is where the money is! Horses are expensive to feed, especially those that need a lot of groceries and Medical attention! Even assessment and meds at the auction cost money, 30 day quarantine, we are all ready talking serious cash! Paying employees, taxes, property upkeep, utilities etc! Sorry they are not rolling dough!

I visited them a few times & was appalled on their stance to kill horses rather than save them. The other rescues all know what they do and they really should close down as they are killing horses. This is not a rescue but a slaughter house.

Please research Flurry’s case. This horse was an owner surrender. He came to Horse+ looking healthy, well loved, and cared for (Jan). 30 days later you can see his coat lost all of its shine/health(Feb). 30 days later in his euthanasia announcement video the horse is unrecognizable(March). He had weight loss and muscle loss. Please do not surrender your animals to this organization. There are many rescues that do great thing out there and are very transparent. Find and support them.

I have been observing this group for years. As a former horse breeder and one who has shown at the AQHA World show, and been to auctions where the unwanteds of the horse world fall through the cracks i can fully support their efforts and integrity in saving horses from slaughter. They have a great vision for a network of rescues for all equines. Horses give so much. They deserve a good home for life and an honorable death if it is time. I have agreed with their vets when one is put down.

They euthanize way too many horses at auction that could be treated. They either don't want to spend the money on these sick horses or have unskilled vets. I was shocked at some of the horses put down yesterday.

I have been crazy about horse sinc earound five years old but have never owned one. My family moved quite a bit and although it was my dream to, my mother could not afford one. So once i got a job I began resucing any dog or cat i found that needed help. I still yearned to be with horses so wherever we moved I would search out horses and muck out stalls just to interact with them When i found a stable i would voluteer my time after school and on weeknds. that is the foundest time of my time it brought me so much joy. I'm afraid i lost the oppurtunity to ever own one raising my own children and neice and nephew besides giving a safe, home for unwed teenages whose were kicked out of their parent' home but thankfully once the baby was born the grandparents discovered their daughter and grandchild were truly a blessing and reconciled with their daughters! i broke my back in 2007 and never was the same after that. I thank the Lord I was not paralized and even went back to work as a RN for another 3 years until the health problems kept stacking up and am now pretty much home and chairbound. How I wish I was younger and healthy cause believe me you would find me sitting outside your office to volunteer for you starting tomorrow! if there is anything you can think of that i could volunteer for in my capacity please Please contact me! I love your videos and pretty much binge watch it on you tube. with all the troubles in this life, your
compassite love and devotion is so life reaffirming it uplifts more than you imagine. May our Lord contine to heap his blessings upon you and everyone at horse heros!!!!!!

I heard about Horse Plus through a family member. I did not know they existed until then. I researched them, following their FaceBook page and Youtube Channel. After I saw what all they did for these precious animals I had to be part of it! I applied for adoption and was approved. I visited the facility today and was shown some amazing horses. One of them was so afraid, but wanting the attention she deserves. After a few minutes in the round pen, I knew she had to come home with me. I am so happy that Hera is going to have a new home and be surrounded by folks that love her. Thank you Horse Plus for all you do!

We had been following Horses Plus for a while before deciding to adopt. We loved to see all the stories and photos and really just believe in their mission. After moving to a home with more property and getting adequately prepared we contacted them and they have been a pleasure! Today we got to visit and see first hand what an amazing environment they bring these sweet babies into! These horses are so well loved - I only hope we can live up to the experience they have had so far! We went home with 2 babies of our own and we are so grateful!

We have been following this amazing organization for some time now. We felt it was time to make a visit just to scope things out. We were really impressed at the specialized care provided to each horse. After a little bit of discussion of what we were interested in, we were shown some horses that matched our thoughts and we fell in love with two of them and brought them home! Great staff doing amazing work!

Earlier this week I visited Horse Plus Humane Society and ended up adopting two horses. I had an amazing experience and was impressed with everything I saw, including their in-depth screening of potential adopters, their streamlined process of documenting visitors/adoptions, and their commitment to documenting everything via photos, videos, and interviews.
I was also impressed and deeply touched by the condition of many of the horses there. It's clear that this organization really does rescue animals that no one else would take: old, injured, emaciated, and even unhandled equines that need expensive vet care and rehabilitation. I know they provide dental care, vaccinations, hoof care and even surgeries for the animals they take in. I would guess that about 75% of the horses they are caring for are pasture pets who can not be ridden due to old age and/or previous injuries. (I adopted one of those, and also one of their younger, rideable horses.)
At Horse Plus, I saw several large paddocks of skinny horses who are being fed back up to healthy weight after years of neglect by previous owners. When I first started thinking about getting another horse, I looked through the adoptable animals from Horse Plus on the Adopt-a-pet website, and I took note of two sad cases in particular: Lucy and Ginger, who both looked painfully thin and neglected in their intake pictures. When I visited in person, I was astonished by how much those two mares had improved in their body condition and weight. They are both beautiful and healthy now thanks to Horse Plus, even though they are just pasture pets, and I am thinking about adopting them too if nobody else takes them home first!
The last thing I want to mention is how awesome all the people were. It's clear that their volunteers and employees are professional, knowledgeable, and above all, that they love horses. Horse Plus is doing the extremely hard work of helping horses, no matter what.

I have been a donor for the past year after seeing their show on YouTube. I adopted a pony from them this past winter and it was a great experience. He has mild founder and cataracts. Before adopting him, they helped me understand his needs moving forward. Great staff and mission! Please visit/look into the organization before making assumptions based off of reviews.

In response to the negative reviews: I want to remind you that they did not cause the damage that put those horses in that condition...but they are the ones who are stepping up to do what is right and often times necessary. While it can difficult to hear, sometimes euthanasia is the best option for the horse. And that is coming from an avid horse lover. I trust they do everything in their power to save and rehabilitate those they can. As you learn more about horses you realize there are just some injuries/internal damage that is an issue of quality of life.

5 Stars!! Keep up the great work!

AWFUL place! Before you surrender a horse or support HPHS, please see HPHS policy on how they decide which horses live or die and how they kill using the Captive Bolt (the same method the slaughterhouse uses). This is their information. https://www.horseplushumanesociety.org/euthanasia/?fbclid=IwAR0lOgX1MyVpulGzu0NFlBHYg5vEEP7gQumlb7jZ8E0afqSHG13C3gkvJ8Y

My mom had to make the tough decision to find him a new home due to their own personal health concerns and after 2 days away from him she begged for him to return. He was healthy and happy in my moms care she just didnt think she could handle 3 with all the things going on in life. When she changed her mind, they were rude and made up rules that are not printed ANYWHERE and denied his return. After weeks of asking how he was doing they reported to us he was dead. They made up a diagnosis and killed him. He was seen shortly before leaving and NEVER had issues. Such a sad situation with no justice. This people are like the tiger king people, just in it for a profit. FAKE people.

After reading SO MANY other "bad dealings" I should have done more research before hand. This is 100% discrimination. I understand doing a check up before just allowing whoever to adopt but please make the entire effort not just 4 pictures on a social media account. HPHS killed my horse, Cowboy. He arrived healthy with no breathing issues, current on vaccinations, and Coggins negative on Nov. 18, 2021. According to HPHS, on Nov. 29, 2021, Cowboy was doing fine; within 3 weeks Cowboy had been put down after a serious breathing problem was found. His previous owners were denied a chance to take him for a second opinion and for any and all necessary treatment. If Cowboy did get sick, he got sick on HPHS's watch. The other 2 horses that he lived with at his home have never shown any signs of any breathing issues of any kind. Cowboy had no breathing issues upon arrival to HPHS. HPHS has refused to say what his diagnosis was other than to praise themselves for putting him down and saving him from the slaughter pipeline of which he was NEVER in danger of going down. This horse DID NOT have to die!!!!

HPHS KILLED my horse, Cowboy. You can read about him on Horse Plus Humane Watcher Redux, Part 1 & 2. He was delivered to HPHS in Hohenwald, TN healthy and sound on Nov. 18, 2021. He was killed shortly thereafter. If you care about your horse, DO NOT surrender him to HPHS. My family is devastated. You will read only their lies on their site as they take down any truthful post about what is negative to them. It does not matter if your post is tasteful, professional, and truthful, they will take it down and leave their twisted lies to pull on heartstrings and make money off of YOUR horse that they KILLED!

Kay Workley. I am really very sad at reading some of these bad reviews from bogus names, they cannot even use their real names so why would you believe any thing they are posting. I have watched this organization for years they have come a long way, putting their money where their hearts are. Folks! they are doing very hard work, very long hours rescueing these horses from a horrible unspeakable death to adoptions and yes, some a way kinder softer passing. Has anyone of you looked at all the rescue sites and seen how many horses go thru auctions weekly? Thousand and thousands of horses go thru this pipeline to a long torturous journey of pain and eventually death. If you are brave enough watch the videos of what happens to the ones who are not rescued, then come back and tell me a different story.

I’ve watched episodes and read many articles and reviews and I’m knowledgeable about horses. I have researched the reasons that people are giving for bad reviews and trying to convince others of their opinions.

Re: captive bolt euthanasia- at first I was horrified also that they used this method at times. But after researching many, many, articles and studies, this is a very humane way to euthanize! It’s over in a second! They are trained so they know exactly the correct position. What could be more humane? Zero suffering!

Re: animals being euthanized- if you have ever loved a pet or ever saw an animal suffering and the vet says there is nothing further that can be done or it will only get worse…. you are ending the horrific suffering of the poor thing! I get extremely attached to animals and have rescued dozens. Let me say, it rips my heart out to have to have one euthanized and I grieve, sob and cry before, during and after. It’s horrible, but you are relieving it from agony! It’s selfish to keep one suffering alive!

Re: the cremation place on site- common sense, people. It’s better than hauling them to a landfill.

Re: the owners/the head of Horse Plus Humane Society receiving income-
I do not know how other large, busy, expensive non profits manage and I can only give my opinion. I do not know their personal lives or income. All I think is Tawny/Jason are involved in everyday all day in running their busy humane society. Not sure how anyone could survive if no donations at all went to them. You would have to live and eat in the barns with animals and eat hay and grain every meal? I have no idea if they have any other sources of income from who knows what? I just focus on all the POSITIVE they do for animals and am grateful for all humans that do the same. That is more important to focus on. Re additions and decor in main office- they aren’t buying anything expensive or extravagant! It’s FAR from high dollar items! Geez, people complain over a short little sofa and couple decorations and faux wood desks. I’m sure they don’t want guests, associates, etc to sit on the floor. They also do have income from tv shows and commercials. Good for them for knowing how to be exceptional in raising funds to get by!
All of this just my opinion but seems to be mostly common sense!

I can't get any straight answers from this organization on where some of the horses in their possession are. The horses are supposed to be going thru quarantine, rehab, and training but updates are never given even when directly asked about specific horses. Many other people guess on where they are but why doesn't Horse Plus answer? Are they given away to their staff to sell or keep, sent back to auction, or all euthanized? Something is definitely off with this organization.

Idk why people seem to be so bitter with this place. They all seem to genuinely care for what they do. The place is clean, organized, and well kept. They have a structure and it works flawlessly. We took two beautiful girls home today and we couldn't have asked for a smoother process. they had all hands on deck to make sure everything we needed and wanted was taken care of. The paperwork was simple and straight forward. They answered any and every question we had. Email correspondence was flawless, I always heard back within one business day. I wouldn't worry too much about the nay sayers. They seem to be people who didn't have much actual interaction with the rescue, more people who are living vicariously through other people's fabricated stories.

I saw that Horse Plus had gotten a senior blind mare from an auction. I have two rescued blind horses so I contacted them and expressed my interest in providing her a good home to live out the rest of her years. They very thoroughly vetted me to make sure she ended up in the best possible home. They provided me with records of all the vetting they did and hoof care over the 30+ days she was in their care, she was microchipped, and they even sent me home with a gift bag of horse goodies. And even after all of that they waived her adoption fee.

I think it's pretty awesome they helped a blind senior horse. And she wasn't the only one there. There were several that were oldies and several that were blind in one eye. They even had another that was fully blind although that horse had a very promising adopter meeting coming that following week.

I see the negative reviews all over the internet, but my personal experience with Horse Plus was very positive. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the needs of each animal in their care. The farm was tidy and all the animals looked like they were being well cared for.

I would adopt another from them in a heartbeat. How anyone can say that they are in it for the money is beyond me. They waived the two $500.00 fees on mine because my husband is a Nam vet and I am in law enforcement. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a horse.

Horse Plus Humane Society is an absolutely amazing organization and don't pay attention to what the trolls try to say on here. I have been to their facility and adopted a horse from them. Their facility was clean, the horses were well cared for, and their staff is extremely knowledgeable. Yes, they do humanely euthanize some horses but they're stepping into the shoes of horse owners who walked away from a suffering horse. Their euthanasia rate is about 25% including horses they rescue from auctions that have cancer, chronic medical conditions etcetera that need humane euthanasia. I applaud this organization for all of their hard work and their weekly episodes show how transparent their organization is and all the amazing wonderful things they do. This organization is absolutely amazing and I really wish there were more organizations out there just like them.

My experience with H+ has been of wondering when I will get booted from their social media page. They ask for suggestions on how to improve their communications and transparency with followers and donors, yet when you offer how they could improve, the followers berate you as a hater of the organization and H+ lets them continue to ridicule, insult, belittle and bully. H+ practices selective transparency and will not answer questions like who earns the income from the video views? How many horses do you have on your property? What do you do with the equine's bodies after the last act of kindness? I would suggest anybody wanting to donate to this organization to ask frank questions and make sure you get a straight answer from them because they choose to ignore, delete and block versus be transparent.

These people have to know every trick in the book. At at recent auction they had someone else purchase horses for them . People in wigs! Really what are they hiding from??? For fact they were removed from the EQUUS Film channel with a film called Horse Realty Heros. They now do there own little videos called Horse Shelter Heroes not the same thing. EQUUS removed them because they kill a large number of hoses using a Captive Bolt Gun which is what people use at slaughter, I thought this was a rescue not the judge , jury, and executioner! Thin horses some horses deemed unapproachable, not rideable so therefore unadoptable. This rescue won't answer questions, thy block and delete comments they don't want to answer or they don't like! I have over 100 text messages from a former Shelter manager , they text messages reveal very disturbing facts. I donated lots of money, time , and noncash items but never again!!!! These horses get killed for the smallest reason . It's all built on lies and numbers!!! Plese think before you donate and check your rescue. This one truly STINKS and is NOT about the horses!!!!!!!

Thanks to the employees and volunteers who have left this hell hole in disgust, it is very well known in the horse rescue circles that this brutal place kills more horses than they adopt. According to some, they kill as many as 90%, but fundraise for money to care for and what can only be called imaginary adoptions. According to former workers, they actually have an incinerator on site. Please do not send your beloved horse friends to this literal dead end road.....

I was invited to apply for one of their grant programs. As I dug a bit deeper I learned that accepting the grant would require me to adhere to their 'standards'. Those standards include euthanizing any horse over the age of 10, any un-rideable horse or any horse with a chronic (but manageable) medical condition. Absolutely unacceptable conditions as far as my organization is concerned. The grant money would be helpful but the cost? Unacceptably high. Those are not the standards of a rescue organization.

Horse Plus Humane does an excellent job of rescuing, rehabbing, and adopting out horses that would otherwise be slaughtered. They also actively support other equine welfare organizations (which is how I met them). They post pictures and videos of the horses they rescue, and they post the amount paid for each horse bought at auction. Videos posted on their website show their intake process with new horses, including veterinary checks and treatment, farrier service, and training. People who have adopted horses from HPH contribute pictures, videos, progress reports, and stories to a Facebook page specifically for owners. It’s gratifying to see the horses in their new homes with their new owners, and to read their success stories.

This rescue is truly one of the best. I was lucky enough to know and volunteer for them a few years back when they were in California and now I rescue horses out here. It's disgusting that there are horse killers like Wilson Mule that bash them. Horse Plus saves them from the clutches of these evil people, of course they are going to complain. The horse below was purchased by Horse Plus from WIlson Mule and was so skinny, frail, and could barely walk. He hated people. Now he's been brought back to health and is living out his days in Oregon, far away from the clutches of "Wilson Horse and Mule" auction. Payton and Tawnee and everyone else at Horse Plus are horse Angels and I support them 100%.

Absolutely do not recommend! If there was a negative red star, I'd give it. Horse Plus Humane Society and Actress Payton Christian, engaged an egregious behavior by slandering the owners of a legally purchased horse. This bitter diatribe was prolonged and continues despite getting notification from the sale barn, where Horse Plus, purchased 53 horses, banning Payton Christian, and giving notice of no trespass. Horse plus Humane Society, collected donations for a particular horse that Miss Christian, decided she fell in love with. Matter of fact, $1,500 was raised for that particular grey dapple. However, she stopped bidding at $700 on that particular horse so legal ownership went to another party after outbidding. Miss Christian because involved in an altercation with the new legal owners. After that, it was posted on social media platforms from both Payton and Horse Plus Humane Society, trash talking the rightful new owners. Please note, this horse did not go to a killer buyer. they engaged in a bidding war over a healthy horse and became upset that the new owner posted such horse on her page(same as Horse Plus) and will be making a profit. For an organization considered to be so involved in keeping horses off the "slaughter pipeline" they sure conducted themselves poorly an unconscionably slandered them and continue to allow their "followers" to continue to fuel the fire. Horse plus Humane Society has no business interfering with a legitimate sale at an auction. Furthermore, they have no business bidding against the general public over healthy horses. Horses of good condition and good weight are not at risk of going to a killer buyer. This unbecoming conduct has become so outrageous, they really should issue a personal apology to both the new legal owner of the horse and the sale barn. If you would like to condone this type of behavior and contribute to their endeavors , no matter how inappropriate, go right ahead. I for one will not be complicit in the actions of an inappropriate badgering/bullying, organization.

In 2014, Horse Plus drove a very large stock trailer with partitions and another large, multi-horse trailer hundreds of miles on the incident I know of (I've been told about their traveling 1000,'s of miles to help out with other wild horse rescues). At the very difficult incident I'm familiar with, Horse Plus assisted another animal rescue/welfare nonprofit. Their expertise in corralling, loading, safely transporting over rough terrain, and carefully unloading extremely wild and unpredictable horses at the destination was both professional and compassionate. There were concerns for the safety of both the volunteers and the horses, but Horse Plus folks knew what they were doing. When I say "wild," I mean that in the fullest sense of the word. They volunteered their services and transported all the horses to safety. Horse Plus's integrity, expertise, and willingness to offer their services raised the bar for horse rescue groups. We fully support them and their wonderful work.

I was a supporter of Horse plus humane for quite awhile. I started to notice some inconsistencies with their posts, posting pictures of the same horse , using a different name and begging for money to help pay for care of the horse. They advertise that they offer low cost gelding clinics to offer the service to people who could not otherwise afford it, showed pictures of the horses they helped the owners with gelding, then they post same picture of the horses asking for donations to pay for gelding??? They put down horses that are healthy young and just need time , patience and training, claiming they are dangerous. Most horses in a rescue situation are traumatized and require time and patience, they kill them. They have killed horses to make room for others coming in instead of saying we are full and working on placing the horses they have. The money they collect and their adoption rate does not match, most are put down after surrender fee is paid so where is the money going??? I started asking questions on their facebook page and my questions were ignored by Horse Plus but I did get nasty private messages from people affiliated with them. I finally tried calling them directly on the phone and each time I was told no one was there to answer my questions but promised a return call right away, after trying for two months I gave up with NO RESPONSE from Horse Plus but they did block me from their facebook page so my comments would not be seen by the people who fund this fraudulent so called rescue. I have watched them make personal attacks on peoples character for simply questioning them about where a horse ended up or how much money they raised. They make false claims about who they are and what they do, they recently were forced by I believe animal control to revise their website and remove the false claims. Someone needs to stop these people, they give all rescues a bad name . The truth is very ugly!!!!!!

This is by far and above the best horse rescue in the whole world. I have been at several horse rescues, and NorCal, now Horse Plus, rescues the most horses, and provides cutting edge services to better the welfare of horses everywhere.

When I visited Horse Plus Humane Society on Jan 3rd, 2013, I was amazed by the friendliness, knowledge and dedication of the staff. I was sad that I wasn't able to meet Tawnee, but understand that she is very busy. They answered all of my questions honestly and without using pre-written lines. Steve especially is a very down-to-earth kind of guy and is very nice.

The facility is immaculate, well cared for, and all of the horses had food and water. I would recommend adopting from this shelter to any of my friends!

The comments made in the December 2010 time frame were generated by the County seizing horses from a neighboring "rescue." The hearing is on You Tube with graphic details. NER, now known as Horse Plus Humane Society continues their above reproach work. I have adopted 2 mustang mares from them, and supported numerous projects and emergency rescues. Their facility has been recently moved to Bangor, CA. Horse Plus is dedicated to the welfare of all animals, particularly horses.

Horse plus kills 90% at least, of the horses that people pay to surrender or they have donations to get horses from auctions. They do not know how to train or properly care for horses and kill horses untrained calling them "dangerous". They are nothing but money greedy killers! they do nothing to rehabilitate to help the horse get a proper home. I watched them load up 9 horses crammed in a trailer and left the property for over an hour with the horses standing in the trailer without anyone on the property at all. it is likely they hauled them to the rendering service where they were all put down in the trailer. (which people have witnessed before) they are dangerous people. no horse is safe around them. God help the horses that get stuck in thier hands. Ive never seen such heartless people.

Horse Plus Humane Society, formerly NorCal Equine Rescue, is by far and away THE BEST horse welfare organization in the world. They stay true to their mission statement (saving horses from abuse and slaughter) despite so many naysayers. Don't believe those that have a personal vendetta against Horse Plus. They do a great job, their facility is neat and clean, and the horses make amazing recovery while at their shelter. Yes they are open door, yes they euthanise and YES they are completely open about it. If you don't like that, don't donate, but if you are a real person living in a real world that is somewhat devoid of pixies and rainbow bridges with unicorns dancing across them, Horse Plus is the place for you to donate your hard earned money to make the most good.

These people are power mongers! They put horses down so readily that do not need to be! They bully people into turning thier horses into them then turn around a put it down cause its "ugly'. I found out that my horse was distroyed 2 days after I took it to them unknowingly of how they are. I would give anything to have my horse back and alive! he was better off with me than dead. a 6 year old broke trail horse that was not lame did not deserve this! I want to sue them for there cold hearted lying! they are Con Artists and need to be stopped. They sounded so sincere i believed them. They need to be euthanized!

I volunteered there they are horrible to the animals leaving them without food and water and filthy, put animals down because they are too lazy to make any effort to get them adopted out
They also pay themselves a great deal of money while claiming they are in it for the horses.

Actually I have been to this rescue, I went with a friend who adopted a horse there. A dump?? HARDLY. It is clean, safe and the horses are well fed.

No Yes you got it all....who created the suffering??? You really have to ask that??? The rescue???...LOL....HOW ABOUT BLAMING THE UNCARING OWNERS WHO DUMPED THEIR HORSES AND ALLOWED THEM TO END UP THIS WAY???? Kill buyers are only middlemen...cleaning up the messes left by uncaring owners. And I suppose you blame Animal Control for killing cute little puppies and kittens instead of the moron owners who didnt spay and neuter...GEEEEZZZ

Norcal/Horse Plus Humane has NEVER claimed to be no-kill. Geez people, get on their website, click on "policies" at the bottom of the page and learn something. Tawnee has stated on their blog they are a open door turn in shelter, just like the ones for dogs and cats. Unfortunately, there are not homes for every horse and they do euth for space, among other reasons.

If you dont like that, then dont support them. This is America, its your choice. Its real easy to criticize sitting behind a compter when they are the ones out there actually DOING something...even if that means euthing a healthy horse instead of letting it go thru the agony of slaughter.

This organization states on this site that they have a gelding clinic.

It appears they have only had one gelding clinic, but aggressively
get horses at auction that other private owners would buy, and then
this rescue destroys them if no home is found in 60 days.

This rescue asks for funds on their blog and website to rescue horses,
but it is not clear what happens to these horses.

their policy is to put down a horse, healthy or not, if a home is not found in 60 days.

Need help?
