Mission: The Hopes and Dreams Foundation believes that all people have gifts to share. We believe that children and adults with disabilities have been faced with extraordinary challenges in life and their families as well. We hope to provide opportunities to these families that are above and beyond what they are allotted by the current legal and school systems. We feel that because of their unique gifts in creative arts and drama, they are deserving of summer programs that teach to their ability, with less attention to their -"dis-abilities". We hope to recognize what these children CAN do and emphasize this through summer camps focused on the arts. We also hope to fund special life skills trips and events to promote acceptance and value for all people with disabilities. Funding will be derived directly from the community in which these children and adults live through fundraising activities. Committee members also plan to seek out grants for organizations that are dedicated to helping children with disabilities and their families.We hope to make dreams come true for families that have faced so many challenges. We hope to give back to the children who give so much to our community just by reminding us of the importance of each life lived.
