Hope International Inc

Programs: Clothing provided for 414 adults and 674 children. Furniture provided for 398 adults and 360 children (285 households). Donated clothing, furniture and household goods are sorted, priced, and sold to people at low prices allowing them to get more value on limited budgets. Others who lack the financial means to provide for them and their families receive vouchers from their church or other organization. These vouchers are used to acquire through our thrift stores clothing, furniture and other necessities at no cost to the individuals. As an example, a family that has lost everything in a housefire will receive clothing, furniture, furnishings and other supplies to help them recover from the event.

hope distributed 87,480 meals to disasters, homeless shelters, food pantries. Hope sets up food drives, food packaging and distribution to provide food for the hungary. This includes helping local churches and charities with manpower and supplies for their food packaging events. Also parishable and non-parishable foods are crated on pallets and sent to areas that have been struck by floods, earthquakes and tornadoes. In 2016 hope provided about 40,000 pounds of food and clothing to the misfortunates that suffered through the flood that hit louisianna.

back to school bash: 692 students received free school supplies. This event provides area students with most, and sometimes all of the school supplies needed for the school year. Part of the event includes a free haircut, vision and hearing screening, dept of health check. Educational programs provide parents with information for nutrition and financial counseling, home and auto safety, and other information as well. Games, food, face painting and other eventshelp create a fun atmosphere that children and parents enjoy.

other achievements include an annual toy give-a-way during the christmas season. In the winter free coats are given to individuals in need. Space heaters are given away annually during the winter months to families that cant afford other means to heat their homes. In the summer free fans are given to families to help them cool their homes duing summer months.
