Mission: Hope in lancaster is a faith based non profit organization that provides short-term emergency assistance to those in crisis.
Programs: Provides short-term emergency assistance to those in crisis. The primary items provided to families in need are utility bill assistance and rent/mortgage assistance, hope also maintains a food pantry to provide food in a short term emergency. During the last year, hope in lancaster has had an overwhelming increase in need because of the high unemployment rate in chester and lancaster counties, in addition to other economic factors. Hope has 5 staff persons and 115 volunteers who daily strive to meet the needs of families who are seeking assistance.
