I had been looking a long time for a dog. I spent a lot of time on Petfinder. One night I saw this puppy, his name was Victor and responded to the website. I received an email the same night. It was meant to be. Victor, who my grandson renamed Walter is so lovable. I’m very happy. The process with Hope for Hannah was very smooth. I’m very happy.
My husband and I adopted our first pup, Raylan (formerly Hogan) as a married couple in March of 2011 from Hope for Hannah. And then in September of 2013, we adopted our second Hope for Hannah pup, Ava (formerly Morgan). Margret was the foster mom for both dogs and Margaret instantly became “Aunt Margaret”.
We lost our sweet Ava dog this past February to hemangiosarcoma. We weren’t really planning on bringing another dog into our family right now until sweet little Martini (now Willa) popped up in my feed. Carol from Hope for Hannah was so sweet and helpful and we ultimately decided that she was the perfect hound dog for our family. Once you have been owned by a hound, it’s very hard to not have one in your life! Willa’s foster mom, Chelle, was so sweet and did such an amazing job with Willa in the time she lived with them. In a short amount of time, Willa is right at home on our farm and has positively stolen our hearts.
Words cannot express how much our Hope for Hannah pups have meant to us- and how much this rescue holds a very special place in our hearts. So, thank you to Susie, Carol, Margaret and Chelle (and everyone else) for making our lives complete with our special friends. I simply cannot imagine our lives without you all- thank you for all that you do!
I adopted my best friend from Hope for Hannah rescue! Everyone was extremely nice and caring, Blossom (now Nyla) was well cared for and the adoption process was seamless. I highly recommend this rescue for your next best friend ❤️ Lorri S.
I was told on adoption day when signing the papers that if I need to ever rehome the dogs, to bring them back to them. I need to rehome one that I adopted and they told me basically it was my fault. Basically said that it’s a crying shame if the dog has to get euthanized. Both are Typical narcs, put the blame on others. They place the blame instead of trying to help the dogs they so call love. They only adopt out babies. How are they always having babies to adopt . Why are all the dogs coming from down south and being transported up here when the shelters up here are overflowing???? They are not doing this for the love of dogs. They are making money. How is it that the cost of dog varies? I feel that they lie about the breed of dogs as well. The first dog I got from them was to be a lab mix and a medium sized dog. The dog didn’t grow very big and was a small dog of 19 lbs. and is not a lab type dog. The last dog is labeled as a German shepherd husky mix but looks more mixed with a pit. I never had a dog be aggressive in my home, but the one that is aggressive is my fault. It’s something that I did. Some dogs like the be the center of attention as do some people. I don’t recommend this agency For adopting because they don’t help and nothing they say is consistent. One minute they will take them back and the next is it’s my problem and I need to deal with it.
I needed to rehome my 2 eight month old Shih Tzu’s. I was contacted by Carol one of the fosters for the rescue, begging me to consider surrendering the boys to her where she promised she would train them and then find them an appropriate home. She claimed that she had 20 years of experience training dogs, Susie, the owner reached out and reassured me that I was making the best decision by surrendering my boys to Carol, I did surrender them and within two weeks she dumped them off at a shelter. This place is a terrible place for you to surrender your animals. Your animals are guaranteed to end up in a shelter or worse.
