Follow up studies indicate the men have a continued sobriety rate of 65% at one year while the women maintain a 70% sobriety rate.
shelter services provides cafeteria or meeting rooms by day, by night it brings hope center's capacity to 146. Rarely provided for in grants, it subsists almost entirely on donations.
mental health program is to assist men who might once have been institutionalized in living in the intermediate housing section of the hope center, receiving counseling and training, ideally for one to two years, before being placed in the community. The hope center's psychiatric and social services also extend to many men and women residing elsewhere in the community. Serious and persistent mental illness is what keeps as many as 25% of all homeless people living on the street. The mental health program provided an average of over 2,000 services each month.
