Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection
Mission: To identify, plan, administer, and provide financial contributions in partnership to enable improvement projects for betterment, preservation, maintenance, and protection of ocean, reef, marine life, shoreline, dunes, parks, open spaces, roadways, parking facilities, hawaiian cultural sites/practices, and recreational facilities of kaanapali north beach and west maui, thereby enhancing the natural beauty and public enjoyment of the west maui region.
Programs: Beach access website database project. Creation of an online database regarding the shoreline and beach access in the west maui region, to include pictures, gps information and relevant government documents regarding access on and through particular shoreline parcels.
hawaiian immersion adult language classes. Adult hawaiian language classes for west maui community members.
kahoma mauka project. Supporting open space and native cultural and historic preservation efforts in the kahoma ahupua'a mauka of the state highway.
