Mission: The homeless planning council of delaware, inc. Is an independent statewide nonprofit organization that works to strengthen the support system for people who are homeless in delaware.
Programs: Assess the extent of homelessness in delaware communities and the availability of needed housing and services, particularly through implementation of a homeless management information system ("hmis"). Planned and submitted the state of delaware's application for funding to serve the homeless through programs of the u. S. Department of housing and urban development. Partnered with stakeholders to educate on the causes and solutions to homelessness in delaware.
