Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: To provide homeschooled youth with opportunities to compete in competitive athletic events in a christian atmosphere. Through this athletic competition, hsaa is committed to providing parents with support in their responsibility of developing high moral character within each student-athlete.
Programs: Hsaa organizes teams of home schooled athletes to compete against other schools in secondary athletics. Each team's expenses are estimated for a season and divided among the team members equally. Primary expenses are officiating, gym rentals,tournament fees, uniforms and equipment, and instructional training. Hsaa has no officers or paid staff. In 2014, there were 614 students participating spread over 37 teams. All teams promote learning good sportsmanship, placing the team ahead of the individual, and developing the ability to reach goals by working together.
