Mission: A community-based, not-for-profit agency rooted in the heart of north carolina, 3hc sets the standard for treating home health, hospice and home care patients with quality, innovative, comprehensive and respectful care during their greatest time of need.
Programs: A History of Treating You Like Family
From our beginnings as a non-profit health care company with two staff members—a part-time nurse and part time physical therapist—3HC has grown to be one of the largest of its kind in North Carolina and is recognized nationwide as a leader in the home care industry.
3HC Home Health and Hospice Care is accredited by ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care), a designation shared by only the best providers, in addition to being Medicare and Medicaid certified.
We have a long tradition of helping our patients by providing the highest quality of care in an environment that makes them feel like family.

I have been a volunteer for Hospice for 5 years. I do homeside visits, man the greeter’s desk, write thank you notes for donations of items to Crystal Coast Hospice House of food, flowers, blankets and the like. We have a very generous community! I send condolence cards to families whose loved ones have passed away. The staff here is wonderful, very compassionate and very attentive to the patient’s needs. I love being a part of this organization and being able to help others in some small way.
3HC is a great agency to work with. They truly care about their clients and believe in helping them pass on with dignity and respect. Volunteering with 3HC has been a richly rewarding experience.
I have volunteered with 3HC home hospice for over 2 years. After retiring from the military I wanted to serve the community through volunteering and 3HC has been an excellent organization to assist. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging, and they get you involved in directly impacting lives! They were directly responsible for enabling me to provide companionship visits for a patient on hospice care. This directly impacted the lives of that family and they are very appreciative. I would highly encourage anyone to volunteer or donate to this outstanding organization.

I am a Hospice Clinical Secretary and I have had an opportunity to see the benefit volunteers have with our patients and their loved ones. It could be as simple as a regular phone call to a caregiver who has lost their loved one and needs someone to talk to or the visits that a volunteer makes to a patient each week where they spend time with them reading, playing games, talking about the patient's life and other activities. The volunteers that come into our office to help put together packets, make phone calls, make bereavement cards help the staff that are supporting the patients. Volunteers and the volunteer program are an essential and valuable part of Hospice.
Hi, I’m a volunteer with 3HC. I absolutely love the atmosphere when I go into the office. My coordinator and the staff are great. I can see how much everyone cares about the patients. I’m so happy to be a small part of this community!
