Nonprofit Overview
Mission: The mission of Holding Tiny Hands is to improve the outcomes of infants in born prematurely or who are otherwise in the neonatal intensive care unit by addressing the parents’ emotional and psychological needs through an established support system of parents who share similar experiences. This support system builds a network for parents and provides links to community resources that assist parents with the care and development of their premature baby and also with the care of the parents’ emotional and psychological health. The healthier the parent, the better the parent can advocate for the child.
Target demographics: Parents of micro-preemies and chronically ill infants in the state of Iowa.
