Mission: In 1934, Earl Hissom Sr. began feeding the hungry in Kanawha Valley. This effort still continues today in the form of HIM which was incorporated in 1967 and has expanded to provide a full range of services and hope for all those who express need. This has taken the form of addressing needs in the areas of food, shelter, mentoring, special needs, legal, literary services.
