I can't say enough good things about Hillside. This school has become an extension of our family. The level of skill and passion these teachers and staff have for Montessori education is amazing to watch.
We have had one child there from 18 months through Lower Primary, and our second child starts in a few weeks. The value of sending our children here instead of to a daycare has been huge.
Watching friends who live other places and don't have a Montessori option send their kids to daycare where they pay more money for a bare minimum level of childcare has been eye opening.
At Hillside, we always know our kids are safe, cared for, happy, and learning. When our son was 2 years old, he came home singing a song that we couldn't quite understand the words to. That night at bedtime, he pointed to a map and said "That's North America!" That was when we realized he had been singing the continents song all afternoon. He has grown in practical skills (helping us with dinner every night), creative ability (he loves painting and drawing), and emotional maturity (helping with his little sister because he is used to "being a leader" in the classroom at school).
I don't write reviews often, but Hillside deserves more than five stars.
