Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Highlands biological foundation supports the work of the
Programs: Annually, support is provided to the highlands biological station which represents approximately 10% of the annual budget for the station and is expended on research & educational programs of the station, including scholarships for interns working and living at the station. Support is also provided for two of the station's programs - the highlands nature center and the highlands botanical gardens, among other forms of direct and indirect support. The station is a biological research and education facility in the university of north carolina system.
