Causes: Community Improvement & Capacity Building
Mission: The hpg network strengthens communities by establishing a framework for collaboration, convening local resources, and equipping stakeholders by providing the following services: municipal partnering and planning, organizational and staff development, strategic planning, process improvement, neighborhood sustainability, compliant community development programs, community convening for local stakeholders, emergency preparedness, emergency planning and exercises, project management, and educational conferences.
Programs: In 2017, the high performance government network completed several projects directly related to its vision of "cultivating thriving communities. " the high performance government network worked for the indiana housing and community development authority and the indiana office of community and rural affairs to provide training and technical assistance to over 20 government and non-profit entities. This work supported the state of indiana's efforts to effectively utilize federal dollars through infrastructure and housing improvements in communities across the state. Hpg network partnered with ball state university to hold 24 days of certified public manager training for municipal leaders across indiana. In addition, the high performance government network worked to strengthen the infrastructure of communities by providing training for government employees in 5 different organizations. Hpg network also worked with 14 local government organizations in northeast indiana to improve the development permitting process in these jurisdictions.
