Heroes Night Out is an amazing local veteran and family focused non-profit started by two parents of children who became service members. Over time, they noticed how many families needed recreation and access to relaxation together to help readjustment and also to get away from hospital settings if they were injured.
It was at the Fisher House at Fort Sam Houston, where my husband was getting put back together again after getting critically wounded in Afghanistan, that we met Wes and Judy Pierce, the creators of this awesome, wonderful place for veterans to feel safe and families to connect. Love them!!! Check out their website, heroesnightout.org
