Programs: The childrens advocacy center provides support for children and youth with alleged abuse and neglect issues. The center provides a forensic interview to the victim and support services for the non-offending family members. Some services include, but are not limited to, mental health counseling, sexual assault exams, peer counseling, court support, support with crime victims and monthly team meetings with local law enforcement and cps to ensure that these cases dont fall through the cracks. The center served victims of child abuse and neglect, and conducted interviews. This program is supported by the following grants: childrens advocacy centers of texas, voca and ovag.
the worth the wait program provides sexual risk reduction services to 11 school districts and serves over 2500 youth per year. The program has helped support youth with making healthy choices regarding lifestyles. The program also provides mental health support for youth in need in the program. The program also provides a parent survey to the program and asks the parents how they talk to the youth about this topic. The parents have expressed thanks to the program for helping them to speak to their youth about life choices and sexual behavior. This program is supported by the grants from the family and youth services bureau through health & human services.
