Mission: The mission of the help center, inc. Is to provide information, outreach, direct services, advocacy, crisis counseling, and therapy to clientele in a safe, confidential environment. The intent is to assist clients in gaining insight, clarity, empowerment, client centered solutions, and life improvement in the wake of life's difficulties and in the aftermath of traumatic events.
Programs: The help center/211 program (hc) provides 24/7 suicide/crisis counseling and follow-up, and resource information/referral to callers from 13 counties. Additionally, the hc is open to client walk-ins and provides suicide prevention/intervention education to communities as well as free on-going counseling to those who cannot afford it elsewhere. In 2017, the hc had 16,455 direct service contacts: 1,137 pertained to suicide, 3,288 contacts pertained to relationships, 2,441 to mental health issues, 329 on interpersonal violence, 803 pertained to meeting basic needs such as finances, shelter, transportation, or child care.
the two sack's stores in bozeman, mt and belgrade, mt provide support for the two counseling programs. They also established a new and far reaching volunteer program. The stores also maintain a voucher system for the needy or those affected by disaster to obtain emergency clothing and household items.
hearts and homes (h&h) provides supervised visitation and parenting classes. In 2017, h&h provided 1,920 hours of supervised visitation to 96 children and their parents. Forty-eight parents took part in classes and services.
