Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Helena civic television is a community access television station that may also contract with local and state government entities to produce public affairs programming.
Programs: Helena civic television met contractual obligations to the city of helena, lewis & clark county, and the state of montana by telecasting public meetings and governmental proceedings. Hctv also provided television production facilities and technical assistance to a number of diverse educational and non-profit entities, as well as artists, artisans, and social service agencies.
hctv managed a statewide public affairs network affiliate (tvmt), and provided video coverage and telecasts of state government proceedings, including activities and events in the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Hctv staff also obtained foundation grants and business sponsorships for special projects including educational documentaries on a variety of cultural, historical, and public policy topics.
