I would like to become a volunteer. Im a resident of clayton county and would like tp give back to the community.
The Hearts to Nourish Hope program without question provides a proactive approach to exposing the youth of Clayton County to work environments that they might not otherwise obtain. Gloria's Gifts Galore has had the pleasure of being a client of their program for the past two years now. The opportunity to provide work experiences and mentoring in a retail setting has been very rewarding to us. It's not every day that a cash strapped family owned business is given the opportunity to provide a job to two or more of our youth without suffering financial hardship in the process. The youth(s) that have worked for us have also been impressed with the workings and opportunities available to them should they choose to pursue a career in retail. We talk lot about the negative aspects of our youth but there is also the untapped positive that they possess that the Heart to Nourish Hope have provided to the community. Such programs should be supported to the fullest and allowed to not only continue but to flourish in our communities. If we do nothing else with our monies it should be to sponsor and provide financial support for this program (Hearts to Nourish Hope, Inc.). Hearts to Nourish provides a sound investment in the future of not only Clayton County but also Georgia and America as well.

I have always been extremely impressed with how Hearts to Nourish Hope strives to open new doors to the young people in our community offering them new and exciting experiences. Not only do these young people learn new life skills through HTNH, they accomplish incredible personal growth and success in the process. This is one amazing organization and the community is most fortunate that it exists!

Hearts to Nourish Hope is an excellent non-profit organization with a rich history of doing great work in Clayton County Georgia. I have a personal experience with Hearts to Nourish Hope because I too have a non-profit organization (www.reach-teach.org). Our two organizations have collaborated on two educational workshops (College Admissions 101, Scholarship Money for College) within the last six months. We are scheduled to implent another educational workshop (ACT vs. SAT) in the month of March. Also, we are preparing to execute a Leadership Conference in the month of April. Hearts to Nourish Hope is a leader in the area because of their committment to the community. As a result, many people count on the organization for assistance on many levels. I strongly feel the organization can be strengthened if more financial support was provided. This assistance would allow Hearts to Nourish Hope to opportunity to be an even brighter beacon in the community.

I'm the founder of an non-profit organization that serves low-income families in the Metro Area. I've had the privilege to work with the hearts to Nourish Organization for the past two years and I must say it has been such a blessing to do so.
Hearts to Nourish has gone above and beyond the call of duty in serving the children and youth with summer employment that allows them to gain experiences that will enrich their lives forever. It provide local businesses with workers that help the community thrive.
The Hearts staff are outstanding in preparing the children and youth for the task of serving their community in whatever position they are placed.
I believe the number of applicants the Hearts to Nourish staff processes and places in the business community is second to none.
For all of the service Hearts to Nourish provides to the community please afford them all of the consideration possible.

The Riverdale Police Department believes in the proactive work that Hearts to Nourish Hope provides to the seeking for a positive path youth of our Community. The particular group of seekers that Hearts to Nourish Hope excels with are typically familiar with law enforcement for negative reasons.
It has always been Debbie Anglin and her staffs' approach to work proactively with organizations that can offer help and well rounded training to each of their members. They have given us the opportunity to work with their members in a positive light. An opportunity to share our desire to be a positive force in their lives and not the negative.
Beyond the opportunity to be seen as a whole i.e. enforcer and protector they have included the Riverdale Police Department in several areas of personal prevention, i.e. Haunteen Reality and Self Protection for young ladies.
The Haunteen Reality was an experience open to the public to showcase the dangers and realities that may be associated with taking drugs, drinking, distracted driving, bullying, gang activity, etc. Members of the program made up the staff that brought the experience to life for the patrons.
In combination with Debbie's expertise in the field of self protection the Riverdale Police Department has taught classes to young ladies about their safety. Areas covered include personal safety as well as vehicle and home safety.
These programs and others are key to each members self preservation. They are also key to staying on the positive path.
Hearts to Nourish Hope is continuously forward moving and evolving. Thus the choice to open a transitional home for youth males ages 18-24 is in keeping with their mission.
We, as a Community, are fortunate to have Hearts to Nourish Hope. We, as a police department, are grateful to work with this organization and its members.

It has been my expereence that Hearts goes well above and beyond the norm to help youngsters. I have seen several instances that Hearts took the time to help young individuals that were cast aside by other organizations or county/state organizations. Hearts is nothing in short of amazing.

Hearts to Nourish Hope provides a very vital service in our community. The work with young people is outstanding. They serve the underserved population. They are good stewards of the funds they receive and stretch the funds as far as they can. They are respected in the community and I know if given more funds they can extend their exceptional services to more and in these times that is exactly what is needed. Over the summer the role they play in helping young people find employment helps both the students and the employers. I employed one of the summer students and it was a great experience for our organization and the student. I cannot say enough about the value that HTNH adds to our community. They provide vital services.

Through the Summer work program, Hearts to Nourish Hope has helped many young men and women obtaining employment within the community. This program has enabled them to learn professional skills, life skills as well as team leader/group skills that will help them in the real world. My organization has also benefitted from the program by forming a partnership with Hearts to Nourish Hope. I hope they receive the 5000 reward.

I have done catering for several events that have been related to Hearts to Nourish Hope and to see the changes in the students, and the kids that work and help out at the facility over the time they spend there makes my heart feel good. Society and the kids are better because of the work that is done at Hearts. The fact that the kids learn responsibly and a work ethic will help them through out there life.

I work for Clayton County Juvenile Court. Several of the young men on my caseload were in need of an alternate educational setting. Most were 16 or 17 year old 9th graders who stood little chance (make that no chance) of making it in public school. The GED program at Hearts to Nourish Hope was he most viable option for many of these young men and the care and personal attention they received there had a tremendous impact.

I have been working with Hearts to Nourish Hope for more than 13 years, and they are one of the few organizations of this type with that has proven their stability and commitment to our community. Their work with the youth of Clayton County is tireless. They fill a needed void in the lives of youth providing them with guidance, assistance, guidance, and sometimes, even a meal, at one of the most important times of their lives.

I live in Clayton County where HTNH is located. I have worked both in partnership with HTNH and as a Contractor.
I have found the leadership to be both compassionate and knowledgeble in the area of prevention.
During 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 I worked with HTNH in the area of alcohol and other drug (ATOD) prevention atempting to establish partnerships and collaborations.
HTNH as an organization seeks to partner and impact atod in the county among youth.
The Greater Solid Rock Baptist Church Community Outreach Center partnered with the organization's court mandated Evening Reporting Center for young males.

Having been associated in various ways with Hearts to Nourish Hope since its opening, I am convinced that there is no better service organization for young people than HTNH. The director and staff consistently work to build community awareness not just for their organization but also to bring attention to the tremendous need for the services they provide. The metro Atlanta area is a tough place to grow up; peer pressure and poverty contribute to a great "loss" of young people, especially males, to drugs, jail or death. I have helped by giving time and goods, and I will continue to do so. Deborah Anglin (director) is one of my personal heroes, not because of who she is but because of what she does, lovingly, capably and constantly. - Kay S. Pedrotti

I've worked with Hearts to Nourish Hope (Hearts) for the past 3 years. I've met many of the staff members and students that Hearts helps. Hearts, the name of the organization, speaks for itself. I have found that this organization is full of people with good hearts serving the community. The staff feels needed and the students feel wanted.

I've worked with this WONDERFUL organization for 2 years and am PROUD to be a part of such a group. The youth of today really need leadership and guidance other than at home or church...the way this group reached out, finds employment and continually follow-up with these kids is great. The training thes kids receive from this group will truly make them all marketable in the work force. I look forward to what they will provide for the business community this summer and look forwad to a long an rewarding relationship with Hearts.
Sincerely,

Hearts To Nourish Hope has been such a blessing to so many people of the Clayton County and surrounding areas. They extend a helping hand in food donations to families in need. They have provided for the many different programs our church provides. Gift cards are given to provide for families at Christmas that would other wise go without anything for their kids. Turkeys and Hams, food boxes. Candy is provided at Easter for Easter Egg Hunts, and for our Christmas Fellowship; to be handed out to the kids attending. They help with job searches and provide some jobs for teens that qualify during the summer; which extends into several counties around Georgia. Food boxes are provided on a monthly basis to families in need. Programs like Hearts To Nourish Hope are needed to provide families that extra touch of "Hope". Just to know that there is someone and some thing out there when they don't have anywhere else to turn. Being able to put food on the table for your family is a blessing. They see that someone cares. So many people want to leave God out of the goodness extended to the community, but Hearts To Nourish Hope is a "Godsend". I believe all blessings cometh down from the Father above. Thank you HTNH....I've seen and I know that your program is needed and pray that it continues to grow and flourish to meet the needs of the people that depend on you. God Bless You.

I was honored to be a part of the Summer Employment Program with Hearts. I have had the honor to be a part of the Hearts family for 2 years during the summer and it was great to be there. All the staff are friendly and always willing to help if we needed it. I hope to continue being a part of the Hearts program for years to come.

Hearts to Nourish Hope (HTNH) is an amazing non-profit organizations. I first heard about it back in the 10th grade, and I was apart of the after-school program they used to do. The program was great for youth, it gave us a way to express ourselves and talk about common issues we all face and how to go about facing these issues. It was like a close-knit family setting where everyone respected each other's thoughts and opinions and everyone was given a chance to voice their thoughts openly.

Hearts to Norish Hope is a great orgainization. The staff and students are all willing workers who help companies in the Henry County area, grow and improve while allowing students to gain valuable work experience and skills that can be used throughout life. I have seen the students progress to levels I did not think possible. I hired one student after the program and he was later hired as a full time engineer to work in Atlanta for a Environmental protection company. I have been hiring students for years from this fine organization for the summer program. THe company is well organized, well run, and provides many services for the community and the businesses in the community.

This is my first year with Hearts to Nourish Hope and I am so excited to be a part of this amazing program. I was immediately welcomed into a close knit group and made to feel like I have been there from the start. I love what the organization stands for and does in the community.
