Mission: The organization's purpose is to improve the lives of foster children by providing innovative programs aimed at solving the community's foster care crisis. Primary program emphasis is on finding adoptive homes for foster children who are eligible for adoption, to raise awareness about the foster care situation and to encourage people in the community to volunteer to help.
Programs: The heart gallery of broward county is a traveling exhibit and website featuring foster children who are waiting to be permanently adopted. Each photograph is donated by a professional photographer. The heart gallery exhibit is displayed in many public places. The photos are accompanied by a bio card that describes each child's personality and interests. The gallery presents an emotional appeal to the community to help: to adopt, to become a foster parent, to volunteer or to donate goods. In addition, the heart gallery puts on educational presentations for the community and hosts several events for the foster children or adoptive families.
