Mission: The primary and specific purposes for which said corporation is organized are: (a)to operate exclusively for such charitable and educational purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The corporation is dedicated exclusively to charitable and educational purposes and not for gain or individual profit. The following more specific purposes are within the scope of such exempt purposes; (b)to provide and promote social and health services for fathers, families and their children. (c)to convene a network of public, community and faith based agencies dedicated to supporting fathers, families and their children. (d)to collaborate with similar groups at the local, statewide, and national level to coordinate services, train practitioners, research and promote best practices, educate policymakers and evaluate programs.
Programs: The healthy fathering collaborative delivered 324 parenting classes to 500 incarcerated males at the judge nancy r mcdonnell community based correctional facility this year. 60% of those individuals were fathers, with 730 children under age 18. We also delivered 49 parenting classes to 250 men and women in the community that have been involved in the criminal justice system at the north star neighborhood reentry resource center. We hosted two community events with collaborative partners. The fathers walk event, http://healthyfathering. Org/fathers_walk. Asp, held september 21, 2017 encouraged over 10,000 fathers to participate in school based events with their children that day. The white ribbon campaign, http://healthyfathering. Org/white_ribbon. Asp, held friday november 17th encouraged over 10,000 men across the state to take a public pledge against committing, condoning or remaining silent about violence against women, children and intimate partners. In addition we promoted healthy fathering resources and information through our two websites, neofathering. Net and justfordads. Org, facebook and twitter.
