After taking Kasey to the vet for her routine annual check-up, I learned that she was in early stages of cataracts. The good news was there is a thing called cataract surgery for dogs (phacoemulsification). Bad news, the surgery was going to cost between $3,000 - $3,500, especially factoring her age (12 years). A coworker asked if I were aware of dog grants, so I began to search and ran across Healthy Canines. TRUE BLESSING!!! The grant process was seamless and it is clear they have a strong passion for dogs. Kasey's surgery was successful, no more grey spots on her eyes and she is back to running the house.I could never say thanks enough to Healthy Canines for their financial and emotional support.
I've worked closely with this organization's owner Kim Simpson and she is so passionate about helping people get life saving medical care for their beloved dogs. There is nothing scarier than a family member getting sick and then to not be able to afford to make them better is heart breaking. Healthy Canines is dedicated to ensuring people in need have the means to care for their dogs. Well Done Healthy Canines.
When I heard about this organization, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. This is much needed in the community with so many pets being surrendered to shelters because their owner is unable to pay the high cost of vet care. I'm so happy a program like this exists.
As a supporter and cheerleader of this wonderful organization, I am most impressed by how they show such compassion for the families and pets. Seeing the pets being helped by getting the medical care they need is very rewarding. I love Healthy Canines. We need more organizations like this.
This is a wonderful and much needed organization available. With the difficult times we are facing right now, this organization is truly a blessing for many families and individuals facing financial hardships, making it challenging to pay for their dogs veterinary care. The cost of vet care continues to rise each year. With help like this, it is my hope that families get the financial assistance help they need for their furry companions.
Thank you Healthy Canines for helping Duke receive the medication he needed for his eye and ear infection. I didn't know how I was going to pay for his medical treatment until my vet referred me to you, and encouraged me to apply for a grant. I'm glad I did! You are one of kind.
I've always been a supporter of Healthy Canines. It is wonderful that this organization exists. Pet parents really do need this type of help. Thank you for all you do. Keep saving lives!
So grateful for this organization and that it exists. My sweet pup, Lucy was suffering from a severe case of heart worms. The cost to treat them was not affordable and I was worried that I would have to put her down. After speaking with Kim at Healthy Canines, she saved Lucy's life!! I can't thank you enough for helping us. God Bless you all! Keep doing what you're doing.
I'm so thankful for this organization. I didn't know it existed until I took my dog to the vet for his second round of chemo and saw a brochure about Healthy Canines. The process for getting a grant was fast and simple. Thank you for your help, Tyrion is doing GREAT!
I love this organization! Without Healthy Canines, I would not have known what to do or how to pay for my dog’s surgery to remove a large oral mass from his lower right jaw. Thank you Healthy Canines for helping us with Spikes vet bill - keep doing what you’re doing.
Healthy Canines Inc. is filling a huge need for people who do not have money to pay for their dog's care. Vet expenses are never cheap and they have found a way with donations to help those that cannot afford this care - to get the funds for the care they need. This organization has great connections and knowledge as well that helps the dog community as a whole. I look forward to seeing what they accomplish in the future.
