HCC provides huge value by finding paid public health internships and giving its participants mentoring and a lifelong supportive community to be a part of as well. HCC has existed in California for 30 years now and has helped minority candidates join the top ranks of public health organizations nationally. Can’t recommend HCC highly enough!

Mission: Health Career Connection (HCC) is a national non-profit that inspires and empowers undergraduate students, recent graduates and HCC alumni, particularly those from under-represented or disadvantaged backgrounds, to choose and successfully pursue authentic healthcare and public health careers.
Target demographics: increase workforce diversity and improve equitable health outcomes
Direct beneficiaries per year: 300 students and their host organizations
Geographic areas served: the United States
Programs: mentorship, networking skills, and fundamental industry exposure that so many people of color need to advance their careers
