Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Domestic Violence, Family Violence Shelters, Homeless & Housing
Mission: Healing & Hope has a passion to provide hope and support to domestic violence survivors and their children. The abused are often “at risk” of returning to the abuse due to a loss of financial resources and property. Healing and Hope’s mission is to stand in the gap between their abusive past and a better tomorrow.
Target demographics: women, men, and children affected by domestic violence
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 1,000 people across all three of our 'programs' including indivduals, students, and families.
Geographic areas served: Central Florida
Programs: "House a Home" (we provide practical needs such as furniture, clothing, and household items needed to make their new house a home), "Rooms of Hope" (fully functioning thrift stores & food pantry, that are free of charge, to meet practical needs of children and their families), and "Empowerment" (we offer counseling to work on the mental and emotional trauma from their abusive past).
