Causes: Mental Health, Mental Health & Crisis Intervention
Mission: Healing hearts grief support is dedicated to meeting the needs of those in the communities we serve that have lost a loved one by providing a safe environment where they can mourn the death and heal from the pain of loss.
Programs: Grief support services: healing hearts grief support provides multiple options for assisting persons coping with the loss of a loved one. Monday evening groups meet from 6:30-8:00 for family support. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Peer support groups are age-appropriate 4-7 years old, 8-12 years and teenagers. Children are encouraged to express themselves through group discussion, stories, art, dress up and play. Total families served - 18 adults - 22 children - 26tuesday and thursday morning groups meet from 11:00-12:30pm and tuesday evening groups meet from 5:30-7:00pm. These groups are comprised of adults who have lost spouses, siblings, children and parents. Total adults served - 66all groups meets bi-weekly and are open-ended. During 2014 our meetings were attended by 114 total participants.
