Mission: Hatteras island ocean center is nonprofit corporation dedicated to facilitating the use of the cape hatteras national seashore recreation area and other hatteras island natural resources for recreation and enjoyment and for education on a wide variety of subjects including but not limited to: coastal studies; environmental protection; wildlife protection and rehabilitation; and the history and culture of hatteras island and the greater outer banks region.
