The transformative nature of giving isn't always evident in grand gestures; sometimes, it's the steady, unwavering commitment that creates lasting ripples in a community. This is precisely the magic that Rob Baptie and Andrea weave through the HateDust Project in Merced County.
At our first meeting, I sensed Rob's fervor for community engagement. His unique attire contrasted the norm, but it was his burning passion for change that left an indelible mark on me. Andrea is one of the smartest and most genuine people I've ever met, with her undeniable business acumen and dedication, she complements Rob's drive, creating a formidable duo. I just adore these two.
While their contributions span an impressive range, one figure stands out starkly – the donations totaling well into the $100,000s. This may seem like a number, but when translated into real impact, it's monumental. In Merced, where 1 in 4 seniors grapple with food insecurity, Rob and Andrea's contributions have ensured that over 3,000 seniors, our grandparents and neighbors living on fixed incomes, don't have to choose between medicines or food. Hunger is a silent epidemic, making their efforts crucial and life-altering for so many.
One of my most cherished memories with them happened unexpectedly. As we were just getting to know each other, they invited me to participate in a holiday toy drive at Target. Unbeknownst to me, it would be an experience that would deeply touch my soul. I arrived with friends, equally clueless about the day ahead. Rob's simple directive – "Go Christmas shopping" – led to a heartwarming frenzy. Carts piled with toys queued up, ready to spread joy to countless children. The sheer magnitude of their generosity became even clearer when Rob had to clarify with credit card companies about the extensive transactions. Amidst the laughter, there were tears – tears of gratitude, awe, and sheer happiness.
Rob and Andrea don't just donate; they immerse themselves in the essence of giving. From alleviating food insecurity for our senior citizens to ensuring a child's face lights up during the holidays, their contributions are a testament to their monumental hearts. Their journey is not only about the tangible change they're bringing but also about inspiring folks like me to believe that we too can make a difference.
To Rob and Andrea: Your actions, big and small, are reshaping Merced County. Your legacy goes beyond dollars and toys; it's a legacy of hope, love, and community.
A special heartfelt thank you to Rob Baptie and the HateDust Project Inc. for his continued support of Wishes & Dreams benefitting Make a Wish in Merced County. Rob has made it possible to continue to make Wishes & Dreams come true for our critically ill children in our community and surrounding areas. Rob has continually given his support to make sure all our goals were met or surpassed to ensure those wishes come true. Rob and his wife Andrea are a very important part of our community supporting many nonprofits that help children in need. Rob and Andrea truly give from the heart and support their community by helping others when needed.
There are no words to describe what Rob & Andrea Baptie and the HateDust Project Inc. have done for Wishes & Dreams, Make-A-Wish, in Merced County. They have made it possible for us to continue to make wishes & dreams come true for critically ill children in our area. Without the HateDust Project Inc. we would fall short of our goal to grant wishes to sick children.
The HateDust Project is a very important part of this community, they work hard to help many non-profits meet their needs and as a result help so very many people in our area.
The HateDust Project donates locally to roughly 50-65 community events every year. Their local impact at a grass roots level is admirable. Their 9 year track record is simply amazing. for a one man operation.
The HateDust Project is a top notch organization. Rob and Andrea are very giving for a good cause. As a non-profit Founder I can honestly say a lot of our underprivileged youth have benefited from monetary donations from the HateDust Project. Every event (Fundraiser) that we attend we see Mr. and Mrs. Baptie there and actively participating (Donating). Quick story- A big supporter of my non-profit introduced me Mr. Baptie. Mr. Baptie called me and invited me to his house and went live on Facebook. He gave me an opportunity to speak about my non-profit. 2 days after he calls me and says- "Have you been receiving donations?" I was unaware at the time. He said "Check your account and let me know if you have anything." I checked our PayPal and there was $3,500+ in donations. That was our first interaction with the HateDust Project. We appreciate everything they do for our community.
The scope of the Hatedust Project’s generosity is unparalleled. I had the opportunity to join a trip to a local store to shop for toys for the annual Toys For Tots event and the dozens of shopping carts full of merchandise was amazing and a testament to how much they truly care about the community.
Rob and Andrea have taken this idea and turned it into something amazing that has helped so many people, communities, and groups. The Hatedust Project has supported the Merced County Education Foundation for many years. Their funding allowed us to make much-needed improvements to our nearly 60-year-old Outdoor School at Camp Green Meadows. With these updates, we are able to continue to provide the 6th-grade science camp experience to more than 4,000 students each year. What sets The Hatedust Project apart is their long-term commitment to our mission of creating experiences outside the classroom and ensuring we have what is needed to do so. I have seen the benefits of their work and the contributions they have made to improve our community and the lives of those in and around it through us and other non-profits. Their work and care for people exceeds many and we are lucky to have them in Merced and the Central Valley.
Rob and Andrea Baptie are amazing human beings If it wasn’t for them my non profit wouldn’t have made it this far and I wouldn’t have been able to help as many kids as I have over the years. When I was invited to their humble home I would have never thought that had given over 2 million dollars to different charities like mine
I had the privilege of getting to know The Hatedust Project, and I can't help but be astounded by the incredible impact they're making on the lives of children, veterans, and local communities. This charity embodies the spirit of creativity, compassion, and community in a truly unique and inspiring way.
What sets The Hatedust Project apart is their innovative approach to making a difference. They've tapped into the power of crowdsourced funding by selling offbeat goods that not only spark conversations but also drive positive change. It's refreshing to see how a simple purchase can have such a profound impact on those who need it most.
One of the areas where The Hatedust Project shines is in its dedication to supporting education. They understand that investing in the future starts with our children. By channeling a portion of their proceeds into educational programs, scholarships, and resources, they're helping to create opportunities for young minds to flourish. This commitment to education is an investment in a brighter, more informed tomorrow.
Moreover, their support for veterans is nothing short of remarkable. Our veterans have sacrificed so much for our nation, and The Hatedust Project recognizes this debt of gratitude. Through their initiatives, they offer veterans access to essential services, mental health support, and employment opportunities. It's heartwarming to see an organization go above and beyond to ensure that those who served our country are not forgotten.
What truly warms my heart is the way The Hatedust Project strengthens local communities. They actively engage with and reinvest in the areas they serve, fostering a sense of unity and empowerment. By collaborating with local businesses and community organizations, they're building a foundation for sustainable change and growth.
In a world filled with cynicism and division, The Hatedust Project stands as a testament to the transformative power of creativity, kindness, and unity. I wholeheartedly recommend supporting this extraordinary charity and being a part of their mission to uplift children, veterans, and local communities.
The Hatedust Project's unconventional approach to driving positive change is awe-inspiring. Their commitment to education, veterans, and local communities is changing lives and leaving a lasting legacy of compassion. Let's join together with them and continue to support their mission of making the world a better place.
I have been a supporter of HATE since inception, knew Rob years before this NP was set up. I am now the Development Director at a Veteran NP and Rob was one of my first donors. As good as it gets.
The Hatedust Project is a wonderful charitable organization. They do so much for so many. Rob and Andrea Baptie feed families at the Ronald McDonald House, grant wishes for Make-A-Wish kids, and support Boys and Girls Clubs to name a few organizations they generously fund ! These are great people doing great things for the Central Valley in California!
Such a special organization that truly cares for the communities it serves. Their generosity knows no bounds! RMHC Central Valley is grateful to work with The Hatedust Project and all the wonderful people who are part of it.
The heat dust project is an amazing organization. They have helped many women with breast cancer in the Knoxville Tennessee area as well helping a young child with terminal cancer. I cannot recommend them enough.
Been around the project since 2014 and am constantly blown away by the Do Good mantra. Rob and Andrea are amazing individuals with big hearts and lots of love to give. Their work and charity speaks volumes.
This is an absolutely amazing group of people following the lead of Rob and Andrea Baptie: Two beautiful individuals with a heart of gold and a vision of a better world for children and veterans. I have followed their work and donations since 2019 and couldn't be more humbled to be a very tiny part of it. I encourage you to take a moment...right now...and check them out.
