Mission: The mission of harvest time in brentwood is to promote the u-pick farms, roadside stands and agricultural retail marketing outlets in east contra costa county. Harvest time and its members offer unique and rewarding ag- tourism opportunities to visitors to enjoy farm fresh, delicious products, learn about farming, its history, and appreciate the nutritious and economical value of locally grown farm products.
Programs: Harvest time is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the general public about farming and its products, while improving agri-tourism in the brentwood, california region of east contra costa county. Each year, we produce an educational farm trail map that directs you to more than 40 growers who sell direct to the consumer, generating over 200,000 visitors to the agricultural core of contra costa county. Farm-fresh produce is just naturally more delicious and nutritious when you buy directly from the farmer. Its more economical too whether you prefer picked produce, or enjoy picking your own, we have fresh, delicious, sun- ripped, fruits, vegetables, and nuts waiting for you. We also have wine, pies, gift baskets, gourmet treats and nursery stock. We encourage you to visit brentwood californias bountiful agricultural region to celebrate harvest time, enjoy our agricultural heritage and learn about farming in our greater bay area region.
