Causes: Disaster Aid, Fire Prevention
Mission: The purpose of the harleyville rural voluntary fire department is to protect, preserve, and minimize the loss of the lives and property of the citizens of and visitors to dorchester county tax district 414 and dorchester county tax district 403 from all hazards, including fire, medical and rescue emergencies, hazardous material incidents, and other disaster situations, and also to promote, through fire safety education, the prevention of such fire or other emergencies, and further to assist other fire departments with similar purposes.
Programs: Harleyville rural volunteer fire department has contracted with dorchester county, s. C. To provide fire protection services to the area of the county set out in the agreement dated 06/23/89.
