Causes: Environment, Garden Clubs
Mission: The mission of the hardy plant society of oregon is to encourage interest in herbaceous perennial plants by: promoting education and understanding of herbaceous perennial plants through workshops, lectures, study weekends, classes, publications, book sales, mentoring, trips and tours. Fostering networks and informal gathering of the membership. Supporting worthwhile community gardening projects. Sponsoring plant and seed sales or exchanges. Encouraging the preservation of special gardens of botanical, horticultural, or historic interest.
Programs: To promote the availability and use of perennial plants on the west coast. This goal is attained through lectures, workshops, garden tours, and the sale of books, plants, and seeds at trade shows.
