taste of harbor springs - a food and wine festival that takes place the 3rd weekend of september to draw visitors during the shoulder season. In 2017 there were 675 attendees and 21 restaurants and beverage vendors that participated.
182 people and 13 sponsors attended a dinner party in october to honor the many outstanding volunteers, sponsors and other efforts made during the year. A classic small town parade was held on the 4th of july. Christmas activities include a merchant open house with 27 local retailers participating and 250 attendees, with a tree lighting, high school band, and sleigh rides. Car festival was held in august and drew over 100 antique and unusual cars and over 300 attendees. A night of arts open house was held in july with approx. 225 attendees exploring 15 galleries. Sidewalk sales were held on labor day weekend. Hosted two "harbor hours" with average attendance of 48 people to provide networking opportunites for local businesses. Restaurant week runs during the 3rd week of march and features 3 course tasting menus for greatly reduced prices to entice diners. Also maintained a gazebo for visitor information and offered assistance for businesses looking for a location in the area or for existing employers to help train their employees in hospitality and retail services. Ladies night out was held in october with 30 local retailers participating and over 200 attendees.
