Causes: Education
Mission: To provide education, training and support to small businesses in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. Helping them to start or grow in a socially responsible way that promotes both the long-term success of the business and the economic viability of the Monadnock Region.
Programs: Hannah grimes marketplace - provides a market and business support to local artisans and farmers. These local producers often lack the business skills needed to make their craft economically viable. The model was a self funding retail classroom. It is a for profit business run by its own board of directors and is fully owned by the hannah grimes center. The hannah grimes center works closely to provide business education to the members.
in-depth programs - educational opportunities with a high level of contact and participation designed for businesses at every stage of the business development cycle. These include our business incubator program that offers a growth program and space for 3-5 years; our leadership circle - a peer learning circle of larger businesses that meets monthly; the entrepreneur project - a peer intensive learning group facilitated by a business coach that helps existing businesses grow to the next level; and a start up program - a peer intensive learning group facilitated by a business coach that provides a strong business education for new small ventures.
workshops & coaching - less intensive learning opportunities from instructors engaged in the field. These include free workshops that advance a curriculum that serves a diverse array of businesses covering a wide range of business topics. It includes advanced business training - paid workshops that offer in-depth learning as well as free, one-on-one coaching sessions to help entrepreneurs learn individualized strategies and skills to solve problems and plan for success.
