Mission: To instill pride, celebrate unity and embrace diversity in the hampton roads lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (lgbt) community by creating visibility and promoting full human and civil rights through education, celebration, and networking.
Programs: The organization is the sponsor of the annual hampton roads pride festival. The festival is held at town point park, on the waterfront, in norfolk, virginia. There are educational booths related to marriage equality, lgbt history and various other lbgt eduational issues and activities. The event provides food and entertainment. Members and guests are provided the opportunity to meet, greet and celebrate the lgbt community. The focus is to instill pride in the local lgbt community and their allies.
scholarship program - a scholarship is awarded after a rigorous application and review process to a deserving local student that exemplifies the mission statement of hampton roads pride.
